It's been days, you've barely slept or eaten. You couldn't get your mind off of Joe. You still couldn't comprehend the fact he cheated on you. You were starting to do horribly in your classes from not being able to pay attention. Ranmaru comforted you the best he could but it never stopped your heart from hurting. You and Joe haven't spoken since he dumped you. You missed him more than ever.
(Time Skip: After school)
"Y/n, everything will be okay. I'm here for you." Ranmaru gave you a sad smile as he watched you sob and cry as you ranted about the breakup. "I miss him so much." You hugged Ranmaru as you cried. He hugged you back and comforted you. In any other circumstance his face would probably be red as a tomato from you hugging him, but at the moment you were in pain and all Ranmaru could focus on was trying to make you feel better. "I know, it'll be okay Y/n, I promise." He pulled away from the hug and wiped your tears. "Thank you Ranmaru" You slowly calmed down from your breakdown and you and Ranmaru decided to talk a both other things to take your mind off of it for a bit.
(Meanwhile with Joe)
"Saraaaaa what do I doooo- I really miss them. I still love them but after I kissed Ryoko I feel like they deserve better. I shouldn't have kissed her I was being stupid." Joe sighed as Sara comforted him. "Well- Yeah it was a little stupid of you. But if you really feel bad about it and if you still love them, I'm sure you two can talk things out." She gave Joe a small smile as he smiled back. "You're right, I'll talk to them soon! Once i find the courage that is.." He mumbled the last part to himself.
(1 week later)
Joe finally decided it was time for you two to talk. He sent you a text that said. "Hey Y/n, can you meet up after school at the park? If not that's fine, just lmk." Once you got the text you read it and didn't know how to respond. "Do I really wanna talk to him?...What does he want..?" You thought to yourself. You sighed and replied to his text. You typed "Sure, i'll meet you there." and sent it. It was a simple text but it felt like a chore to type out. Your emotions were conflicted. Was he gonna tell you he never cared about you in the first place..? Was he gonna introduce you to his new girlfriend? These thoughts swirled in your mind and before you knew it the school day was over.
You grabbed your stuff and walked to the park that was only a short distance from the school. Once you got there you saw Joe standing there, waiting. He spotted you and waved at you. You approached him and sighed. "What did you want to meet up for?" The way that came out sounded a lot more annoyed than it intended. You saw an unreadable expression go across his face for a second from your tone. He was wondering if this was a bad idea, but he quickly shook it off. "So uh- How do I say this- Uh-" He stuttered a bit as he tried to get his thoughts together. "So- I still love you, Y/n. A lot. I know I really fucked up, and i'm genuinely sorry for what I did. Please forgive me Y/n. And if you're okay with it..Maybe I could get a second chance? I won't mess it up this time. And it's also okay if you say no." He looked at you, waiting for your response.
All of this confused you, it took a minute to process all of this at once. Joe also rarely cursed and the fact he did made you think he was being serious. You argued with yourself in your mind before coming to a decision. "I forgive you, Joe. And I still love you. I'm gonna trust you and give you a second chance. I really missed you." Tears started to form in your eyes as Joe hugged you. They weren't tears of sadness this time though. You were happy. You got that warm feeling in your heart back and it felt amazing. You really missed him, and he missed you. "I love you so much." You smiled. "I love you too Y/n."
