🔪Chapter 14: At the Party (UPDATED)

Aurora's POV

A few hours passed and we were just finishing our food. I look outside and I watch the sun going down.

"So, why did Leo decided to throw a party tonight? Is it because it's the first day of classes today and we survived it?" Heather asked, wiping her hands with a napkin.

"Something like that," Eddie said. " Now that you mentioned it, he simply said that he just wants to and make other people feel welcome. But we all know the party is just to like well... party."

"And his Dad is cool with it?" Heather asked.

"He said that his Dad doesn't know anything about it but he somehow got accessed to the gym and throw the party there," Eddie explained.

"Won't he get into trouble though?" I asked. "And it's a school night."

Eddie just shrugs his shoulders. "Maybe. I don't know."

"When was the last time we got invited to a party?" I asked.

"Hmm... the last time was at... Lucas's house before he got... you know." Heather answered then everything went silent when she mentioned Lucas. Not that because we feel bad, even we do feel bad just a little bit or something... it's because of the fact that I know he killed him.

"Well, let's change the subject. Should we just go back or do you still wanna stay here for a while?" Eddie asked, while gesturing the waiter for our check.

"It's pretty dark out," I said, looking outside and the sky is almost dark like a black hole and I can see the moon.

We split the bill and finished paying.

"Eddie, I think your phone's ringing," Heather said. We heard Eddie's ringtone cause he never changes his ringtone and he pulled his phone out from his jacket.

"It's Leo. " He said before he answered the phone call.

"Go on outside or somewhere else ," Heather said. "Ro and I will have a quick girl chat."

Eddie shakes his head and excuses himself to take the call someplace else.

"What was that about?" I asked.

"Later, at the party, you know eventually we're all gonna be bored and all that, why don't you and Eddie spend some alone time?" Heather said.

"And do what? And also, what are you gonna do?" I asked.

"I'm gonna party for a bit and then go straight to the dorm room and catch some Zs. Plus, you and Eddie really need some alone time cause sooner or later, you might not spend much time together as before cause this is college. It's not like high school anymore." Heather said.

"I'm sure we can work things out. Fine, Eddie and I will leave the party as soon as we get bored then we'll just talk things out."

"Good luck with that. Let's head out now." Heather suggested.

We grab our stuff and head out.

"Oh, I was about to fetch you guys. Leo said the party just started so let's get going." Eddie said.

We walk back to his car, hop inside, buckled our seatbelts and Eddie started the car engine and drives back to Wood Creek.

Steven's POV

Time passed and I'm on my way to the gym. I may be a bit old for this kind of stuff now but I couldn't care less about that. I'm just gonna blend in like everybody else. They are not gonna care or notice anyway.
