Aurora's POV

Time passed quickly and the first day of classes was over. Once the final bell rang, I swear that a lot of students let out a sigh of relief and quickly left the room within a few seconds.

Now I'm on my way to the dorms and thinking of resting for a while and I let out a yawn. I pull out my phone and I'm going to send a text to Heather.

"Aurora!" I heard someone calling out to me. I turned around and I saw Sophie and Lisa holding hands, waving at me as they approached me.

"Hey guys, it's been a long day, huh?" I asked and we began to walk together in sync.

"Yep and most of the classes are so boring I hardly concentrate and listen to the teacher," Lisa said.

"How are your classes though?" Sophie asked.

"Boring and I only have one class together with Heather. Also, I made a friend today."

"That's good to hear," Sophie said.

Did you hear something about a party tonight?"  Lisa asked.

"Yep, Heather mentioned it earlier. Are you guys going?"

"Yeah, but we're gonna have dinner with Sophie's parents first tonight. It's um... meeting-the-parents thing." Lisa said and I can tell that she's nervous.

"That's great. Good luck in advance." I said.

"Hey Ro, how did you and Eddie go through with the meeting-the-parents thing? Was Eddie nervous?" Lisa asked.

"Um... In case you forgot that Eddie and I are childhood friends so our Moms know each other and Mom already knows Eddie but while I was dealing with a... horror incident, Eddie said he helped and talked with my stepdad from time to time but then after everything that happened, my stepdad decided to set up a dinner thing for me and Eddie as a thank you gift and my stepdad approved of Eddie." I explained. "But I'm sure you'll do fine and I know your parents will love Lisa," I said to Sophie.

"Thanks, Ro." Sophie and Lisa said in unison.

We finally arrived at the dorm building and we went up the stairs to our floor.

"What should I wear? Should I wear something fancy?" Lisa asked.

"Hmm... you can wear a blazer, a white shirt, and some pants, maybe? Like suit pants since you're wearing a blazer and we're going to my favorite restaurant after all." Sophie suggested.

"Okay," Lisa said. "We'll get going now, see you at the party Ro!"

"Bye Ro!" Sophie said, waving.

"Bye, good luck guys!" I said.

I walk towards my dorm room and twist the doorknob open.

"Hi, Ro." I flinch when a voice calls out my name from behind. I turned around and I saw Cora with books in her hands.

"Oh hey Cora, you scared me for a second," I said.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." She said.

"It's fine. You're on the same floor as me?" I asked.

"Yeah, and it looks like our rooms are next to each other."

"Oh, I didn't know that. Going to the library or do you need anything?"

"I was about to enter my room but I couldn't reach the doorknob with all of these books. Could you help me, please?"

"Sure, of course," I said, closing my door.
