Aurora's POV
Today's our first day of classes and we just finished getting ourselves ready. I grab my stuff and grab my printed schedule.
"Heather, let's go," I said, double-checking if I'm wearing my glove. I will just have to get through the day and ignore the stares from other people.
"Alright. In a minute." She said.
I look at myself in the mirror and I just fix my hair.
"Okay, I'm ready. " Heather said as she grabbed her stuff. She walks towards me and we head out of the dorm room. Then we start walking towards the stairs.
"I can't believe we're not going to the same classes like we used to," Heather whined.
"At least we're going to lunch together and have the next period after lunch in the afternoon and we're still in the same dorm room so we'll see each other every day," I said, linking my arms with her.
"True. Oh shit, I forgot I have Physical Education today. I forgot my duffle bag. I'll be back." Heather said as she went back to the dorm room to get her duffle bag. I waited and I saw a girl with curly hair, going down the stairs, carrying some books in her hands. One book fell and I decided to pick it up for her.
"Here you go," I said as I gave the book back to her. She kept her head down and grabbed the book.
"Thanks." She said softly before going down the stairs. I guess she's just shy.
"I'm back!" Heather shouted and we continued heading down the stairs.
We head out of the building and we look around the campus. Everyone is going in different directions, looking for their classrooms.
"Well, I think my Physical Education class is that way. I'll see you at lunch, Ro." She said, before walking away.
"Bye, see you," I said.
"Hey, Ro!" I turned around and I saw Eddie waving at me.
I smile and he places a quick kiss on my cheek.
"Ready for your first class?" He asked.
"Yeah, what about you?"
"Same here. Do you want me to walk you to your class?"
"Sure but do we have time?" I asked.
He looks at his watch to check the time.
"Yeah, we got time." He said as he slid his hand on mine and we interlock our fingers.
"Let's go." He said.
I nodded and we started looking for my class.
A few minutes passed and we found my classroom.
"Okay, this is you." He said.
"Yeah. And I guess I'm a bit early. There's not many people here." I said, looking inside the room and there were a few people in the room.
"Well, I better get going, Ro. My class is at the next building." Eddie said, adjusting his backpack strap.
"Okay, good luck," I said before kissing him on his cheek.
He places a kiss on my forehead and he starts walking away.
He looks back at me and I wave at him. He waves back before continuing to walk away.
Then I head inside the classroom and start looking for a seat. I looked around and I finally found a seat which is just in the middle area.
I put my stuff down and I sit down. It's awfully quiet in here despite the distant chatter from the back. I pulled out my phone and I received a text message from Heather.
