Aurora's POV
Being in the same class as Heather is never boring. While I would take down notes in my notebook, Heather would pass down notes from time to time.
Just like back in high school, she would write things like how the teacher talks or teaches the class and I would just write down things like 'Leave them be' or 'They're just like that' or 'They have bills to pay'.
But there would be times I would tell her to start taking down notes or to stop passing down notes otherwise we'd get in trouble.
Back in Richwood, we would get caught passing down notes or talking while class was going on from time to time and we would have detention for a few hours (and Eddie would lecture us for 30 minutes), or sometimes the teacher would let it slide or leave us with a warning.
I don't like to get into trouble but sometimes, Heather would say things like 'Live a little' or 'Sometimes, you have to break the rules to have some fun'.
She even has a sticker on her phone case (and on her laptop, and she even has a keychain and a poster) that says 'YOLO'. And we all know what that means - 'You Only Live Once'. And she's been living that phrase for years until now.
In general, being with Heather is never boring. She's always the 'fun friend'. She would always have these ideas that would crack us up until we can't breathe or until our stomachs are twisted into knots.
Even when we were little, she was always this spark or Eddie and I would like to refer to her as this firecracker, and she would stand up for herself and do crazy stuff.
I always think that I'm the boring one and Heather is the fun one. It's true but I don't mind it.
"Psst. Ro." Heather whispered. I look to my side since we're sitting next to each other and she wrote something on the corner of her notebook.
'When is class gonna end?' She wrote.
I looked up and she dramatically made the yawning gesture. I smiled, shaking my head, and I whispered, "Soon enough."
She picks up her pen and begins to write again.
'Did you hear that there was gonna be a party?' She wrote.
I shook my head 'no'.
'RIIING!'
The bell rang and everyone stood up from their seats and they started leaving the room.
"So about the party," Heather spoke. "I heard it was hosted by Eddie's roommate... what's his name again?"
"Leo," I said.
"Right, Leo. Someone random in my class before lunch told me about it. I say let's go to that party." She said, linking her arms with mine as we headed out of the room.
"A party? On the first day?" I asked.
"Hey, he's the one hosting it anyway so why the hell not." She said.
"Okay, where's your next class?" Heather asked. I forgot that we have only one class together.
"On the third floor. You?"
"I have to go to a different building. I'll see you in our dorm room." She said.
We waved each other goodbye and she went on ahead.
Before going to the third floor, I walk over to the nearest bathroom cause I have some business to take care of.
I found the nearest bathroom and it turns out that all of the stalls are unoccupied. I pick a stall (a clean stall, of course) and do my business.
After doing my business, I flush the toilet with my foot and head out of the stall. I put my stuff down before I turn on the faucet and I begin to wash my hands.
'Click, Click'
'Click, Click'
I heard some noise behind me and when I turned around, there was no one there. I'm probably just hearing things in my head so I continue washing my hands.
I turn the faucet off and I grab my handkerchief from my bag so I can dry my hands.
'Click, Click'
'Click, Click'
I heard that sound again. I can feel my heartbeat racing a bit faster and I'm beginning to feel nervous.
But I told myself to stay calm and not to jump into any crazy scenarios like before. I decided to double-check my schedule to see if my next class is in the same building on the third floor.
'Click, Click'
'Click, Click'
I hear it again and I turn around for a bit and I start grabbing my stuff and head out of the bathroom. Then I saw someone coming in and I let out a gasp.
But it turns out that it's just a janitress who looks a bit old. We look at each other for a while and she turns around as if I saw a ghost or something behind her.
"You okay, dear?" She asked.
"Yeah, sorry. Excuse me." I said and she let me walk through and I started to walk away, on my way to my next class before the bell rang.
Steven's POV
That was close. I was done cleaning the bathroom and I happened to see Aurora in the bathroom next to mine. It's like fate is trying to bring us back together.
When I saw her, I knew I couldn't miss the chance to take some fresh new pictures, even though most of the pictures are just her back but at least I managed to get some photos where I can see her reflection in the mirror.
The janitress headed inside the bathroom and I saw something on the floor. It's Aurora's handkerchief. I slowly open the door and I quickly grab the handkerchief before heading back inside.
I head inside at the very last stall, where only the janitors can access it, and lock the door.
I pull out my phone and I look at the pictures of Aurora that I took.
She's still as beautiful as ever.
Fuck, I can't get enough of her.
I have grown so obsessed with her each day. I turn off my phone and I look at the handkerchief. It's a bit wet but it's fine. It'll dry anyway.
I finally have something that belongs to her after years of not seeing her.
It's soft and white like her skin. I bring it closer to my face and I inhale its scent.
It smells so good and makes me even crazier.
I managed to control myself and I'll keep it as a souvenir from her.
Now I want more of her. I need to touch her, feel her, kiss her.
I want to do it all over again.
Just... for... her.
