Fun Facts about "The Stepbrother" stories

Hello there! I'll be sharing fun facts about "The Stepbrother" series.

🔪 Fun fact #1: Before making "The Stepbrother" story, this was supposed to be another fanfiction. A Killing Stalking fanfiction, that is. I am a big fan of Killing Stalking. But I realized that I made a lot of fanfictions and wanted to write something original for a change.

So I tried to think of something, and that's how "The Stepbrother" was born.

I wasn't expecting much since it was my first time making an original story that is a horror and a psychological-thriller.

So from the idea of making a Killing Stalking fanfiction turned into the making of the "The Stepbrother" series.

🔪 Fun fact #2: In the first story, there were deleted chapters. Or I would like to call them as chapters that didn't make it to the final draft.

The first deleted chapter was supposed to have a scene where Aurora and her family went to a family beach house.

I was having a hard time with that chapter so I decided not to add it into the story.

The second deleted chapter was mainly all about the aftermath of Aurora after she aborted the baby. But I was also having a hard time with that chapter as well so I decided not to add it in the story as well.

The third deleted chapter was all about the childhood of Aurora, Edward and Heather. It was a cute chapter but it felt like it's not important to the story since Aurora already mentioned that they're friends for a long time and they do a lot of things together.

🔪 Fun fact #3: Stefan was created last minute.

Originally, it was supposed to be Steven only. But I want to add something to the story by creating Stefan. It was supposed to be a 'plot twist' but the hints in the story gave it away hahaha.

I was close to ignore the idea but I decided to give it a shot and it somehow worked in the story.

This also means Stefan almost never exist before the very last minute that I decided to add him in the story and go along with it.

I honestly couldn't imagine "The Stepbrother" stories without Stefan.

🔪 Fun fact #4: Steven's character was inspired by a character in Killing Stalking named Oh Sangwoo.

As you can see, Sangwoo and Steven have some things in common.

And I guess that's how I write Steven's behavior and character but make him more... fucked up in the head.

🔪 Fun fact #5: The fact about Mr. Creed and Miss Victoria are related was an honest mistake in writing.

They weren't supposed to be related but I decided to go with it just to add a bit of... messed up detail to the story. And it works honestly.

🔪 Fun fact #6: Leo's orginal name was supposed to be Jeremy but I decided to change it to Leo.

🔪 Fun fact #7: There was supposed to be a teacher that can help Aurora in the sequel and gets involved.

In the sequel, I was planning that Aurora reached out to one of her teachers but I kinda forgot about it. And I think it's a bit out of nowhere/unneccessary because we already have  a lot of characters being introduced in the story and it would be hard to keep up with it.

🔪 Fun fact #8: I was planning to have Stefan killed in the sequel.

Originally, Stefan was supposed to die in the sequel. But I couldn't do it and it would be very sad because I think Stefan deserved better. So I changed my mind and give him something that he deserves which is to make amends and reunite with his Dad.
