"YESSS!!!" Kat's scream filled the room while the eight boys covered their ears.

"I DID IT AGAIN!!!" she continued to brag about the fact that she had just beaten all eight of the boys in Mario Kart for the 7th time in a row.

Felix sighed not believing that Kat was was beating him this much, he was supposed to be the gaming god after all!

Jeongin was whining after his loss.

"Kit Kat, when did you get so good?" he whined while shaking the girl's shoulders.

Overflowing with victorious happiness, Kat beamed, "now now, Jeongin, we all know I'm the God in this room!" while giggling and holding her victory pose of superman.

At this, Seungmin burst into laughter and Kat pouted.

"Katerina Moon, we all know that is complete and utter bullshit." he teased.

"Hey! Stop calling me Katerina, I hate my full name!" she argued, a frustrated tone in her voice upon hearing Seungmin call her full name.

Everyone just laughed at her response. Even when angry they just could not find Katerina scary at all. The disadvantage of being a 5'2 girl in a group full of boys, not they they were exactly tall, just taller than her.

"Hmph! I'm ordering pizza." She said as she stormed out of the room with her phone in her hand, to which the boys just laughed again while cheering about the fact that they were going to be getting pizza (even if it was the fourth time this week).

They were always happy to eat pizza, especially because they knew that it was Kat's favourite food. They would never get tired of seeing her do her little dance while she's munching away.

"God, she's just cute when she's angry." Changbin stated, while the other boys laughed and nodded their heads in agreement.

As Kat walked back into the room, they all stopped laughing almost immediately.

"Chan, I ordered a burger for you." She said in english as she sat down and stroked one of her cats, Pepper.

"Aye, you know me so well Kit Kat!" he cooed, to which she responded by staring daggers back at him.

***

About 20 minutes had passed when they heard the doorbell, signalling that the pizza had arrived.

They all cheered while Kat went to grab the boxes from the poor delivery man who was standing at the door.

They all sat around the table and began to dig in, Kat doing her happy food dance, and Chan doing his. Adorable, right?

Everything was fine until Changbin, Kat's best friend and next door neighbour, decided to speak.

"So Rina... Any new love interests lately?" he teased while wriggling his eyebrows up and down and smirking.

Kat just rolled her eyes. She really didn't know why he did this, even though he knows her and her father's past.

Don't get her wrong, she isn't some innocent virgin. She's been in relationships. But not once has she ever fallen in love. Ever.

She sighed and said back to him "Bin, you know I just dumped Lia last week, why are you even asking this?"

"Was just wondering, jeez." he responded as he dramatically rolled his eyes and pretended to be hurt, to which Hyunjin giggled at, but immediately stopped after she gave him a death glare.

"Wait, you dumped Lia?" Jeongin suddenly spoke up, "man... I really liked her!" he huffed.

"I'm sorry innie, I just couldn't be with her when I know that she wanted a much deeper relationship, it was killing me knowing I couldn't give her what she deserved." Kat said with a far away look in her eyes.

The boys knew, they knew why she couldn't, and they also knew that she felt awful every time she had to do this to someone.

You see, when Katerina was a child, she lived in London with both of her parents, however she was born in Seoul. From what she can remember, they seemed like a completely and normal happy family.

She was happy.

Until that day.

***

She had just gotten home with her father after being picked up from school. As they walked through the door, they saw her mother, sat at the table... with another man.

Her mother spoke "Just on time!" with a cheery tone in her voice.

"Mum," Kat spoke in barely a whisper, "who's that man?"

And her mother simply laughed.

Thats when she saw it. She saw her father's heart shatter, into billions and billions of pieces, to be carried away by the wind.

Your mother began to speak.

"This is John! He's my new boyfriend."

Her mother told her to go to her room because 'she had a few things to talk about with daddy'.

So she went to her room. And she sat there. Staring into nothing, hoping that it was all a prank.

But when her dad came into her room a little while later, and broke down, hugging her, saying he's sorry over and over again, she knew that it was real.

Her family had been torn apart. Her father had been broken. Any sense of trust she once had to outside people was now gone.

Her dad slept in her room that night, not being able to go back to the bed he once shared with Katerina's mother.

The next morning, they awoke to an empty house. Nothing. All the saved money was taken, even Katerina's money.

How evil do you have to be to steal a seven year old's money for crying out loud!

The house was a shell of the once happy family household it once was. Lifeless, like all the colour had been drained from it.

After realising that his wife was not coming back, Katerina's father gave her a long hug, and said reassuringly, almost as though he was okay, "How about we move back to Seoul?"

So that's exactly what they did.
