A week after her life was destroyed by her evil witch of a mother, Katerina and her father moved back to Seoul.

It was a quick move but they wanted to leave the UK as soon as possible.

They moved into a lovely neighbourhood, where all the neighbours seemed nice and sweet.

There was actually a boy next door who was the same age as her.

Seo Changbin.

They became best friends almost instantly. They just got along really well. Despite now having major trust issues, even though she was only seven, something just told her to trust the boy, and so that's what she did.

Changbin and Katerina's friendship seemed to be the only stable thing in her life at that moment.

Her father wasn't doing so well. He was a lifeless figure at this point.

He apologised every time he spoke to Kat, and she would tell him every time it wasn't his fault and to he happy. But there's only so much a child can do...

He drank. Excessively.

He was still able to take care of her, he didn't neglect her completely.

But the drinking scared her, so she spent almost everyday at Changbin's house.

His mother didn't mind, because she knew what happened.

She really was Katerina's second mother.

Changbin and Kat were basically inseparable as they grew up together.

He was the first person she came out as bisexual to, he came out as bisexual after she came out to him, it was really a touching moment, but a story for another day.

He is the only person to know about her self-harming habit, mainly because he walked in on her once.

He knows about her insomnia and her depression.

He's the only person who knows her fully, despite her only wanting to be seen as that perfect pretty girl that 'everyone wants to be'.

As well as her flaws, he also knows all of her talents.

She's an incredible singer and dancer.

He's good at rapping and producing, so sometimes they make songs together for fun.

She helps him learn english, even though he gets confused because of her British accent sometimes.

They know everything about each other, no matter the detail.

When they entered high school, they took pretty similar subjects, they both took dance and music, but she chose science and Changbin chose English, as well as having all of their core subjects such as P.E, Korean History and Mathematics.

In High school they met a group of boys who were all in their dance and music class.

Chan and Felix, both from Australia, Kat ended up bonding with them over the fact they all spoke fluent English, she thought their accent was cool and vice versa.
