"So if you have two lengths already, 5 centimetres and 9 centimetres, you need to work out the length of b right? So we use Pythagoras' theorem to figure out the missing length. So if a^2 + b^2 = c^2 and we have the length of a and c we have to do 9^2 - 5^2 which will give us 106 and then we do the square root of 106 which will give us 10.3 and then we round that down to 10 which means the answer is b = 10cm." Chan explained to Kat.

She just looked at him, more baffled than she has ever been in her life.

Now its not that Chan was a bad teacher, because that definitely was not the case. It's just the fact that Kat really is that bad at math.

"Hellooooo? Earth to Rina?" Chan waved his hand in front of her face.

"What?"

"Did you understand the explanation?" he asked her.

"Chan, my dearest Chan, my great great friend Chan, does it look like I understand a word of what you just said to me? I mean, why the fuck are there letters in MATH?" she replied to him in English.

He chuckled at her response.

She really was a lost cause at math, huh?

"Kitkat, it's not that hard if you just pay attention to what I'm saying. I'm dumbing it down as much as possible for you!" Chan assured.

Kat sighed, "Fine, explain it again. I'll try my hardest to understand."

Chan smiled and re-explained it with a different question, and Kat listened intently, trying her best to understand what Chan was saying.

"So then to get the answer to c, I just need to do the square root of 165? Which is 12.8 and rounded 13 so c = 13cm right?" Kat said, unsure of her answer as she did all the work herself this time.

"Yes!" Chan cheered loudly, "You did it Kat, you actually did it!"

"Ha ha! Chan I did it! Holy fuck!" Kat screamed and pulled him in for a hug, without thinking.

He froze.

What the hell.

They hug all the time, why is he suddenly uncomfortable?

She let go, sensing his uncomfortableness, and decided to change the subject.

"Hey, now that we've finished the work do you wanna go to the shop?" she asked.

"Yeah sure lets go!" he replied.

At that moment Kat got a text from Changbin.

dwaekki🐷🐰

you sly bitch

wtf

Kat didn't know what she did to deserve that but she shrugged it off and put her phone in her pocket.

Her and Chan walked to the corner shop, five minutes from each of their houses.

They greeted the cashier as they walked in and they walked around the small shop , putting various snacks and drinks into the basket.

They take everything to the cashier so they can pay and go back to Kat's house.

All is fine... until they both pulled out money to pay.

"I'm paying, Chris." Kat demanded.

"You know that isn't gonna happen." he challenged.

"You're the guest at my house tonight, I'm paying." Kat said as she basically threw the money at the cashier before Chan could give his money, causing him to just sigh and chuckle at her actions.
