I finished up my explanation to Chan, tears threatening my eyes as I relived it through talking it out.
"Kat... I don't even know what to say," he croaked, pulling me into a hug, "I am so so sorry." he finished, he looked ready to cry, and I could hear that in the shakiness of his words.
I went into his hug, never wanting to move again.
"If you don't wanna be at home, you can stay here if you need to, my family won't mind." He told me, reassuring me even further that my heart is safe in his hands.
"I don't wanna invade your personal space but can I stay just for tonight?" I ask, staring guiltily at the floor.
"Don't even say stuff like that, I love you, of course I want to have you here as long as you're comfortable." As fast as he had said the words, I had instantly sat up.
"You what?" I responded immediately.
"Huh?" he was confused.
"You love me?" I was dumbfounded, not expecting to hear the words so soon, if ever.
"Did I say that, well I meant- well... yeah, I've had feelings for you for a long time, of course it developed into love eventually," he explained himself, "I've said it in my head for so long it must have slipped out, I'm sorry. I don't expect you to say it back." he sighed, apologetic for his words.
"No, it's okay. It's nice. I don't think I can say it yet, but I like hearing you say it." I look into his eyes and smile, genuinely.
He looked relieved that he hadn't scared me away and pulled me back into a hug, a tight one with his head rested on top of my own.
I looked up at him and planted a gentle kiss on his lips.
"I will have to go home still and grab a bag, I don't have anything here." I told him, letting go and getting ready to go back to my house.
"Well, what do you need?" he asked.
"Umm, clothes, my school bag, my tooth brush, my hair brush." I listed to him what I needed.
"Well, I'll give you some of that but you can wear my clothes for tonight." he told me.
"Okay, but I can just grab my own." I said.
"Yeah, but I wanna see you in mine." he whispered in my ear, making my stomach do a flip and my face to become slightly flushed.
He smirked, and then put his shoes on, acting like he doesn't have an effect on me.
I followed after him, and we made our way to my house. I'm really glad he came with me, I didn't really wanna talk to my dad, but I also didn't want Chan to see my dad in the stae he was in earlier, so I can only hope that seeing me earlier made him sort himself out at least a little bit.

We arrived to my house after a fairly silent walk. I stood in front of the door, and sighed deeply, worried about the kind of scene that I may walk into. Chan came up behind me and held my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze and nodding at me, signalling he was going to be right behind me the whole time. I nodded back to him and gave him a small smile, turning the key in the door and stepping into the house.
My dad was no longer in the front room, but soon came running when he heard us come through the door.
"Katerina! Are you okay? I'm so so sorry, I never should have-" he began with his apologies but I could tell he was obviously still drunk, which isn't a surprise with the amount he had drank, straight out of the bottle no less.
