Chapter seven

"Newt!" The girl said. It sounded weird to hear her say it.
"Newt...I like it! Suits you!" I smiled.
"Ok....newt! Today you try out to see which part your gonna play in the glade!" She said. She got up. I followed her. I suddenly realised how hungry I was.
"You'll be wanted food first though" as if she'd read my thoughts.
We walked to the centre of the glade, it was already buzzy we girls, working, farming, building. We walked over to a building to the side if the glade. A lovely smell came wafting out if it.
"This is the kitchen!" Flo explained
"and this is Alice!" She said pointing to a girl with dark hair and eyes, who was wearing an apron.
"Cook! Makes the meals! And bloody good ones at that" she said smiling at the cook.
"Alice this is our latest newbie...Newt!" The girl smiled at me. She had a happy, warm face.
"Hey greenbean!" She said
"Nice to meet ya!"
"You to!" I replied.
"Oh! Flo! He has the same accent as you!" She said , shocked.
"I know!" Flo laughed.
"Anyway me and the greenie here where wondering if we may have some food out of your kitchen!" Flo said.
"Well if CORSE!" Alice said.
She handed them both sandwiches.
