I woke up to see Thomas looking down at me.
"Hey" he said softy
"What, what happened?"
"You got your leg bashed in by a griever.."
Then instantly, the pain came in. It flushed throw, slowly taking over my whole body. I groaned. Thomas gave me a painful look.
"At least you didn't get stung..."
I wondered how he knew all this, but this was no time to ask. I got up onto my elbows.
"Tommy....where are we?"
"We're still in the maze!"
"Yea I know....but shouldn't we be running..."
"You were only out for a few minutes...haven't seen another living thing since..."
"So...let's got.." I tried to get up, but the overwhelming pain took over and I fell to the ground.
"NEWT!...don't do that! You can't!"
"But we need to-"
"No! Ok we're staying here! I'll fight off any of the buggers that come our way ok?" I blushed.
"But we need to find-"
"She'll be ok!"
"No she-"
"Just trust me! Ok?"
I looked into his eyes.
"I trust you..."
"Ok then!"
We stayed there. Time passed by. And minute by minute the fear got worst. The ever growing pain in my leg grew worst every second. We just sat there. Waiting. Waiting for the sun to come up. Come up and save us from the maze. I guessed about 2 hours pasted until it happened. The noise. It's noise. Thomas gave me one terrified look. It was a griever. It was coming. Coming to get us. Thomas helped me get up. The pain in my leg was now overpowering. I couldn't..
"Tommy...I can't..."
"Yes! Yes you can ok. IM NOT LEAVING YOU BEHIND" He hauled me to my feet. It hurt like crazy. But I knew if I stayed, we would die.
We started to walk, slowly, well I limped. We gradually got faster and faster, until we were running. Fast. So fast. I didn't see it coming. The, whatever-it-was, ran straight into me. I was blown backwards and lay, sprawled out on the ground. I looked up. It was Flo.
