I woke up in a cold sweat. Yet again. What were these dreams about? What did he mean? 'I can't live without him'? Who was he referring to? I was in the tree. Sunlight streaming through the leafs. I got up and slowly climbed down the tree. It was early. Very early. The walls hadn't opened yet. Suddenly the memories came back into my head, and hit me like a punch in the face. Flo. Annie. I ran to the closest wall. I looked around. Everyone was alseep. A noise. The noise of the maze, opening. I blinked and within a few moments the walls were completely open. But they didn't come. I dropped to the floor and put my head in my hands. A second or two later I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up, Lena. Pain in her eyes.

"Newt... they're...they're not coming..."

"Look!" it was Audrey. I looked up. It was Flo. Within a second I was running towards her, and had her in my arms. She hung on to me. So tight. I never wanted to let her go. Never. She pulled away. I looked at her. She was a wreck. Her face was swaety and covered in blood. Her body was limp and frail. As soon as I let her go she fell to the floor.

I carried her back to the glade and brought her to Sophia. About an hour later I sat outside the med-jack building. Flo was still with Sophia, she hadn't let him in. I hadn't seen Tommy either..

As if in answer, I heard a voice from behind me.

"Newt?!"

I turned around. His face lit up when he saw me.

"NEWT!" he sat down next to me.
"Hey Tommy..." He looked surprised.
"OOH so your talking to me now?" I gave him a look. He laughed. I hadn't heard his laugh before. It instantly filled me with happiness. I liked it.
"Hey look Newt," he put his hand on my shoulder again.
"I was stupid...you were upset, I understand but she's safe now so no hard feelings ok?"
"Okay" I smiled at him. A shout suddenly came from the med-jack building. It was Sophia. She ran up to us.
"Hey Newt! You can go see your girlfriend now-" I blushed. Tommy laughed.
"NOT his girlfriend" he said.
Sophia ignored him,
"She's got a few minor injures but she'll be okay...I can't believe it...two nights in the shucking maze!"
"Can I see her?"
"I don't see why not"
I said goodbye to Tommy and Sophia and walked up the stairs. She was sitting on the bed, her head in her hands...
"Flo!"
I ran to her side and hugged her tight. It took me a few seconds to realise that she was sobbing.
"Newt I..." Her voice was raspy.
"I...lost her"
