Chapter thirty-six

This conversation had gotten awkward very quickly. So I decided to leave it. Tommy had been staring into space for a few minutes when I got up.
"Um...Tommy...I'm...I'm going to go find...um....Sophia..."
He said nothing, so I walked off. I was walking over to the Med-jack building when I heard a noise coming from the maze. I turned. I saw something. A person or a...I didn't know what it was. I ran over to the door. It was a girl. She was limping around the bend. I couldn't see her fully yet. But almost instantly I knew it was Annie.

I started screaming for help and within a few moments, most of the gladers were at the door, Lena and Sophia quickly ran out into the maze, to help her. By the time they got back she had fainted . They dragged her back to the med-jack building. I wanted to know about Annie. I wanted to know what was wrong with her, but mostly I wanted to know how she survived the maze. But I figured no one would give me any answers. The next few hours proved my statement was in fact, true. Anyone I tried to talk to got annoyed and walked away. And I couldn't find Tommy anywhere. At first I was worried, but he seemed to know more about the glade than I did, or anyone for that matter...I needed to ask him about that...
The next few hours past quickly. And soon I found myself in my normal spot , by the tree...
