"okay, here's the place. are you sure you feel comfortable about this?" i asked cara, as we stepped out of the car.
"yeah, sam. relax, i'm supposed to be your girlfriend, remember? this is what i do, i've done it many times," she said, while we waited in front of the door.
something about what she said angered and bothered me, but i chose to ignore it.
i knocked on the door again after a few seconds of us standing in silence, and finally someone answered.
"sammy, dude, nice to see you!" mike exclaimed, fist bumping me.
he looked at cara next to me and smiled at me.
"who's this?"
i opened my mouth to speak but she cut my speech off.
"cara, cara moliner. nice to meet you," she smiled, reaching her hand out to shake his.
he smirked at both of us, and moved aside for us to get in the house.
