cara's pov
"i'm home!" i heard sam call out, and the door shut.
i smiled when i heard his voice and walked out of my bedroom. sammy saw me in the foyer and gave me a huge hug.
"missed you," he mumbled into my head.
"me too! oh, and i need to tell you something!" i said, letting go of him.
we walked to the kitchen and sam set down all his things on the table. i sat on his lap and leaned my head in his chest, enjoying his presence for a few moments. i wrapped my arms around his sides and smiled.
"guess what? i got a job," i said, excitedly.
he looked at me and smiled.
"oh, that's great babe! where?"
"five guys. you know, the burger place?"
sam gave me a tighter hug and kissed my head. we stayed like that for a while until i felt that i needed to tell him something.
"i start on monday, so tomorrow," i informed him.
"oh cool, i'll come home earlier then."
this chapter was also short and the next one is going to be short as well, because i'm just like going through ideas for this book and how i want it to end.
