idk what i'm going to do with this book anymore.  i loved it in the beginning but now i'm kind of losing any inspiration/passion for it.  just stick through with the next couple of chapters guys, and i'll try and do something.

cara's pov

i just told sam that i was basically in love with him, i mean, the way i told him that i wanted his attention.  i should have just kept it to myself.

we were still in the car right now, on the way back home.  sammy had given me a literal lecture on how he thought i was great so far, and to not think so down about myself, but i wasn't listening.  so right now, we're sitting in silence in his range rover, on the way back to my new home.

i leaned my head against the window and watched the houses and buildings and restaurants roll by in a flurry of light, wishing i could be out there, and not practically trapped in a car full of awkward-ness.

"hey, wait, sam.  could you, maybe, um, park right here," i said, pointing out the window to the gas station.

he looked at me for a second and hummed, nodding his head.

finally, after a couple minutes, he pulled into the gas station and gestured towards the door.

"you need anything?" he asked, obviously confused as to why i asked him to pull over.

"i'll be right back."

i opened the car door and lifted my dress up, so it wouldn't get dirty.  i attempted to run in my heels into the actual convenience store area, where they sell snacks and stuff.

i grabbed the $20 bill from the inside of my bra and tossed it on the counter for the guy to see.  then, i ran around the snack area, shoving varying bags of chips, candy, and chocolate bars under my arm.

i ran out of the store when i was happy with my collection, waving a panicked goodbye to the confused cashier.

i grinned madly and ran up to sam's car, opening the door and sitting down.  he looked confused and kind of panicked.

"uh, what are those?"

"shut up, just eat." i laughed, opening the bags of junk food and laying them across the dashboard.

he shrugged and laughed, reaching his hand in to the bag of hot cheeto's, and drove out of the gas station.
