cara's pov

i opened up sam's laptop on his bed and typed in the password.  he was still sleeping next to me, and i didn't want to leave and wake him up, so i figured i should just check my email, or maybe watch a youtube video with my headphones in.

first, i logged onto my work email, refreshing the page, when suddenly, something caught my eye.

have you been rented recently? this message is to remind you that you have less than four weeks left with sam wilkinson.  payment for your rentalship will be mailed 3-4 days after leaving. 

i sighed as i ran a hand through my hair.  i can't believe it was only four weeks left, i really didn't want to leave.  at first, i was sammy's rented girlfriend, but now, i was his real one and i can't bear to leave him.

how am i even supposed to tell him that? we just got together yesterday, and i'd have to leave him soon. i'll just tell him later, i mean what's the harm?  maybe in a few days or something, just so i can really wrap my head around this.

while i was still in my own world, i felt sammy stir around in his sleep next to me.  i heard him groan at the light coming in from the window.

"cara?" he asked, his voice raspy.

"yeah?"

"w-what time is it?" 

his eyes where still slightly closed and he yawned.  he moved his palms over his face to really wake him up.

"like, 10:40, why?" i replied.

"oh ok, just wondering." he sad, taking a few minutes to sit up.

"what'cha doing?" he asked, like a little girl.

i smiled and quickly clicked out of the email before he could see anything.

"just checking my email, for some work stuff." i said.

he didn't seem to care, but nodded to make me feel better.  i let out a mental sigh of relief at his indifference and let him fall back asleep.
