epiphany

in that moment, we were just two ordinary people,
who felt things that maybe we shouldn't be feeling.
we were young and drinking up our adolescence,
before the future came, and what we thought we knew
was washed away. in the future, i saw the blood on
your face, on your heart, in your veins. i saw the red,
the blue, and the black. epiphany.
