t/w: mental disorders & reference to su*cide.

small girl living in a black and blue world,
same colors as her scars,
hidden under sweaters,
she's barely even living,
just making it through,
waking up was always a chore,
that she never got used to.

scared girl walks to school,
can't see all the people, like she used to do,
she blocks out most noises,
but can only hear the illusions,
she tries to be careful, but ends up rude,
survival instincts always needed to be used,

dead girl walks back home,
when you look at her, you don't see her;
you see something used,
a worn-out, walked-over
tissue that should have been thrown.
oh, but they left her over here,
crumpled on the hardwood floor,
among a land of things and people
that will soon disappear,

and every single day
she hears whispers of the same thing,
are they real or fake?

they'll all say,
sad girl living in a black and blue world,
you could try, but you'd fail,
can't stop brain chemicals,
earthly divinities and windswept dreams
don't do the trick anymore,
sad girl crumples up like a ball,
tucks her head down low,
so she can be alone
in her room full of dark

sad girl has a name,
but that's the price for all this incoming fame,
and she'll lose herself in a flock of souls,
who aren't any closer to finding out
what it all means than her.

someday, maybe, she'll return,
we'll tell her story and drink with cheers,
and she'll always remember.
won't you remember?
