I'm so sorry this took so long
Xinlong and you had been friends since you both were little, that's why, when he debuted as a Cpop idol, it was amazing to you. Someone you had known your whole life accomplishing something as big as that, you were proud of him, to say the least. You worried that once Xinlong became famous, he'd stop talking to you and you'd lose your best friend, but, that never happened, when he was a trainee, and even after debut, he always made sure to keep in contact with you, which you greatly appreciated. About a year or so after Xinlong's debut, you started to feel weird around him. Your parents had always teased you about one day ending up liking each other, but you didn't think it could happened, you thought of him as a friend, and nothing more right? You pushed those thoughts away for a few years, and kept them to yourself. As the next three years when by your feelings for Xinlong only intensified, to the point where you couldn't keep them in any more. You couldn't keep lying to yourself, and lying to Xinlong. Although as much as you wanted to express your feelings to him, you kept telling yourself that he's an idol, and your just an average citizen, you were lucky enough to even have him still talk to you. That was the one worry that stopped you for the longest time. Eventually, when it was Xinlong's band's 1000 day debut anniversary, you decided it was in your best interest to tell him how you felt. You and the band had thrown a little party and enjoyed yourselves for numerous hours during which, you gathered up all of your courage and went to talk to Xinlong.
"Hey Xinlong, do you think I could talk to you for a second?"
"Yeah sure, what's up?" You glanced around at his members for a moment.
"Uh, can we talk alone?"
"Ooh, it's a secret, of course." He followed you away from his members, once they were out of earshot, Xinlong spoke. "Okay what's the secret?" He laughed.
"Well, I kinda, um, I like this guy." Xinlong gasped.
"Oh! Don't tell me, it's," He paused. "Jiabao, definitely Jiabao." He smiled.
"Uh no." You were about to continue, but Xinlong cut you off.
"Really? Then it must be Zeyu, he's adorable."
"No, Xinlong it's-"
"Who is it then? Come on Y/N I'm your best friend, you can tell me."
"Oh my god you absolute dumbass, it's you! I like you! And I have for a long time." Xinlong didn't reply for a few seconds. "I understand you're an idol and you probably have better options, but please," You paused. "Tell me you love me, even if you're lying." You took a minute to calm down. "I'm shit at expressing my feeling, but I wish I could convey to you how much you really mean to me."
"Y/N..."
"I know, I'm sorry for putting you in this position." You tried to walk away but Xinlong stopped you.
"Y/N, If I told you I loved you." He placed both of his hands on your shoulders. "I wouldn't be lying."
