The Merge

He walked out from the darkness in the woods and across the pavement to where I stood in the grass. "Has your insanity caused you to start seeing things too? Or are you just stupid and blind now?" He stood a few feet away from me and I smirked at his sarcasm.

"Nice to see you too, Luke Skywalker." I smiled at him playfully. "Here to save Dr.Laughlin?"

"Yes, I'm here to merge with you." He stood so straight and said the words so seriously that I couldn't help but laugh right in his face.

"Look, I admire the whole heroic little brother act it's honestly adorable." I pinched his cheek teasingly and he pulled his head away. "But you're not my twin. That's not how it works."

"It's a long shot. But we do have the same blood, same parents, and thanks to your eighteen-year timeout we're the same age." I shook my head at his absurd proposal.

"No thanks...I'm not in the mood for games today. If Jo isn't here I guess I'll just have to go for option two." I took a pocket knife out and help it to my neck.

"What's the matter, Kai? Afraid to merge with someone who could actually beat you?" My ego got the best of me and I grabbed his arm pulling him towards me roughly.

"Fine, it's your funeral."  I took the pocket knife and cut both of our palms. I held both of his hands then. "Ready to die, Skywalker?" He shrugged.

"I'm prepared for anything. Unlike you. You're going to die and I can't wait to know you're finally rotting in hell where you belong." I laughed because I was furious.

"Good enough." We closed our eyes and began to chant the spell in unison. Soon, it felt like we were one and in a trance-like state. Our powers and energies running through each other competing for dominance over the other. Suddenly, I felt a surge of power on my side and we both stopped chanting. And then, I was consumed by darkness.

When I awoke Jo, Liv, and my father were crying next to Luke's body. I sat up groaning. "Morning." I smirked and inhaled deeply closing my eyes as a smile began to grow on my face. Then I stood up and got an insane headache.

"Stop. Talking. You monster." Liv said through tears. I groaned and gave her the magical headache back so she would be forced to stop.

"I didn't do anything our coven was against. It was my duty to merge and I did. And I won." I looked at my dad then who was looking at me disgusted. "Still think I'm a failure daddy parker? Or is being coven leader not good enough for you." He stood up and walked closer to me.

"Don't call me your father. I refuse to think of you a son." That one stung, so I smirked. "I'm not impressed, I never will be. You can't make me proud or earn my respect. You're an abomination and a failure, you always have been." That was the last straw. I was stronger than him now I didn't need to take this verbal beating anymore.

I shot my hand forward and choked him with magic. "Wanna say that again old man?" He struggled to breathe and I smiled.

"Stop! Kill me, Kai. I'm who you want, not him." She tried to shield him and speak calmly which at this point was pointless.

"You have no idea how wrong you are, sissy." I threw Joshua against a tree and he fell to the ground. Coughing and groaning in pain. That's when my genius mind came up with the idea which would solve my problems forever. "Hey, dad? What's that thing you threatened me with a couple of years ago? Oh right, I couldn't kill you because it would kill me along with the whole coven." His face dropped and for the first time in my entire life. My father looked scared.

"Kai you don't want to do this. I know you, you don't want to die." He put his hands out gesturing for me to calm down and I punched him.

"You know me!? Are you serious?! You have no idea who I am you never cared enough to find out!" I kicked his knee breaking it and he fell down on his other knee. He screamed in pain and I heard Jo scream my name behind me as Liv grimaced. Suddenly I felt as if I was being choked but I quickly turned around, pulled out my pocket knife, and stabbed my twin. "Do you wanna lose a kidney now too?"

She gasped and when I pulled out the knife she held her stab wound. Joshua, unable to move with his knee broken, only watched in horror. Or, I thought he was only watching. I pointed the knife at my sister Liv "You're next if you don't stay quiet." Suddenly I felt something biting at my ankle and I screamed. My pathetic father had bitten my ankle so hard he had ripped a big chunk of my skin off.

I screamed in pain and looked at him, knowing that focusing on the pain in my ankle was pointless. Since soon, I will be a vampire and it will be healed. I smiled and put the pocket knife to his left shoulder. Playfully reenacting a knight dubbing ritual. "I now" I moved the knife to his right shoulder. "Pronounce you." I put the knife to the top of his head. "Dead." I stabbed my chest in just the right place so it pierced my heart.

Joshua gasped and I smiled as I felt my heart slowing and the blood bleeding out from my chest. Knowing that now I would finally be invincibly powerful. Soon, my siblings and father were all lying on the ground groaning in pain feeling the life slowly seep out of their bodies as it did mine. And then I passed out, and the journey of my immortal life began.
