An Uplifting Energy Vampire

POV: Sienna

Kai and I kept wandering around until we reached the grill and stopped to eat. He told me about him merging with his brother and how his father had shown up. Then he told me about how loud everything is and how he smells everyone's blood. He also told me he fed on two people. Which I guess was good because it wasn't me; but, him telling me everyone he had killed bothered me. I've known he was a murderer from the start, but actually hearing about it was different. However, I hid my opposition well.

"Anyway, what'd you do after I left?" I froze. He didn't need to know about my internal arguments.

"Nothing much, I just watched YouTube and fell asleep." I shrugged and looked down. It was a flaw I had, I could never look someone in the eyes when I lied to them. He eyed me suspiciously and then moved on.

"Oh, okay. Well, YES!" His random scream startled me and I jumped. He chuckled "sorry." I shrugged and laughed softly.

"It's okay."

"So, as I was saying, YES. YouTube, I just found out what that is a few hours before picking you up. It's so cool you can find anything you want on there!" He pulled out his phone quickly and turned it towards me. "Look at this!" He showed me a video of a lion and a bear fighting and I laughed.

"Wow" I nodded supportively. "That's amazing I can't believe that." He held my hand but rolled his eyes.

"I get that it's not new to you but that's amazing to me." The food arrived and he began eating quickly. My food was too hot though, so I waited for it to cool off.

"No, I'm serious. It is cool! I've never seen a lion and bear fight like that." He ignored me, too occupied with his food and now I began eating. We both finished quickly and Kai compelled the waiter to let us leave without paying. "You know you don't have to do that. I could've paid." I shook my head.

"Where is the fun in that SieSie. Besides, if we don't have to pay then why would we?" It was pointless trying to convince him and it's not like he hurt anyone so I dropped it. No need to get into an argument after finally being back together.

"Fine, but next time I'm paying." I stood up and he shrugged.

"We'll see" he smirked and stood up after me. "You ready?"

"Ready for wh-" before I could finish my sentence he picked me up and vamp ran. I couldn't tell where he was going everything was blurry so I just clung on to him in fear and hoped for the best. Within seconds, the scenery had completely changed. Now we were in some random lobby approaching a man at a desk. "How did you-" he put me down in front of him and I saw a lot of blood on his arm. "Oh my god, what happened?!" I shrieked.

"Nothing I already healed." He pulled up his sleeve and his skin was completely fine. Only some dried-up blood remained. "I just almost ran into a tree but at that speed, it kinda would've killed you? So, I swerved and only hit my arm." My jaw dropped.

"I- you couldn't have been more careful?" He walked past me and to the desk where the man still stood watching our quarrel.

"I'm still new at this ok." He said it as a statement, not a question. I rolled my eyes and followed him. He stared the man in the eyes.

"You are going to let us stay here for as long as we want without paying anything. You are also not gonna complain when we steal the cute little shampoo bottles and towels thanks!" He smiled and put on the fake enthusiasm he always did when he knew he was being a dick.

"Babe." I groaned. "Why?" The man gave him a key and they started walking towards the elevators.

"Why what? We don't have anywhere to go unless you want Bonnie and Enzo to find you and we also don't have thousands of dollars to pay for each night." He had a point.

"Fine, fine. But no more okay? I don't like stealing." At first, I thought he ignored me but then I saw he nodded slightly. We walked into the elevators and he pressed floor number thirteen.

"Ooh, floor number 13" He teased.

"Come on, that's all bullshit. There's no way the thirteenth floor of every hotel is haunted." I tried to look confident when really, these kinds of things scared the shit out of me.

"Oh, yea sureee. Acting all tough now we'll see what happens when the demons eat you alive !" He tickled my stomach playfully and I laughed. The elevator doors opened and an old man with a hat walked in. We walked out and when we looked back. No old man was in the elevator.

"K- Kai-" he turned around.

"What?" I pointed at the still open elevator doors.

"Didn't you see someone walk in ?" He looked into the elevator and a smirk played on the edges of his lips.

"Oh yea that's weird.." he nodded trying to fake disbelief but I had already caught his little magic trick. I smacked his arm hard but playfully.

"Did you do that!?" He laughed so hard he ended up on the floor.

"You should've seen your face. K- Kai-." He mocked me and continued laughing. I rolled my eyes and took the key from his hand. Before kicking him playfully and walking away.

"Asshole." I muttered under my breath. He ran up from behind me quickly which startled me again but he ignored it.

"Heard that." He pointed to his ear. Right. Vamp hearing. I had almost completely forgotten he was a vampire. He was handling it better than anyone I had ever seen turn. Or maybe, it was just that his personality was always like a newborn vampire on steroids. I laughed to myself and laid down on the bed. He took off all his clothes except his boxers and laid next to me. "You're safe with me Sienna. The scariest thing in this building is me." He showed me his vamp face for the first time and I flinched. The veins and fangs disappeared then. "And I'm not gonna hurt you you know that." I nodded.

"I know I had just never seen you like that. A little warning would've been nice." I began to take off my clothes and lay in only underwear and my bra just like he was. I figured if he was comfortable being half-naked I could be too. And to my surprise, he didn't react inappropriately. Sure, he stared for too long sometimes but I could tell he was trying. Then I remembered what he had asked me yesterday. What is something you couldn't forgive me for? Suddenly my stomach dropped. I had never gotten an explanation for this one. "Kai." He looked up at my worried expression.

"What's wrong."

"Remember when you asked me what's something I couldn't forgive you for. You never told me what you did." His face dropped and almost went pale. "Tell me." I urged.

"I will, I have to. But you need to promise you won't run. And that you'll hear me out. I really do love you and I did what I did for a reason." I nodded anxiously. "Ok, Sienna...remember when you were little? You had cute little bangs and whispered things to your lion." I nodded again.

"How do you know that..." My palms were sweaty with anticipation.

"I saw you...the night your brother disappeared..." he stared straight into my eyes and everything clicked like on big impossible puzzle was finally solved. He had looked so familiar before and now I understood why. He was the face hidden in the darkness. The tall man with those cold blue eyes. Those eyes that had haunted my dreams for years. And I had given myself to him. My mind was racing and I felt like I wanted to vomit.

"Y- you...No." I shook my head and ran my fingers through my hair. "You kidnapped my brother." I stood up and started backing away.

"Sienna, please. I had a reason and I didn't know you. I wouldn't do that to you!" He pleaded but I was too blinded by rage and disbelief.

"Is he dead?" My voice broke and without warning tears started streaming from my eyes. He nodded and I fell onto my knees hugging my stomach tightly. "Did you kill him?" He shook his head. I laid on the floor with my knees supporting me as I cried with my head down on the dirty floor. The one person who has ever loved me completely, the person I gave my innocence to, the person who brought happiness to my life is now also the one who has taken it away for so many years. I felt completely and utterly betrayed when suddenly someone knocked on the door.
