"I know you are hiding more under them."

Damon's words replay in my head and I feel my throat tighten by just thinking about what they would think of me if they saw me. The whole me.

I repeatedly shake my head no in answer to Damon's question. Tears pour down my cheeks nothing to stop them anymore.

"We won't hurt you." Blake says as he hesitantly sits back down on the bed next to me. I don't trust his words even if his eyes look at me with such a sincere expression. I have heard these words way too many times and every time I was proven wrong by trusting them.

"Let us just check if you are okay, Angel. If you are not hurt, we will leave you alone, we promise. But we need to make sure everything is fine which probably isn't by the way I see you holding your stomach." He stats in a deep voice, his patience slowly fading away by the second and I feel like I can't fight him for so much longer. But because of my stubbornness and my fear I still keep fighting. I just have to.

"I am telling you I am fine. My stomach just hurts a bit because I have my period." I make up this lie as I look straight back at Damon.

"Fine. But can you explain those fucking bruises on your arm ?" Blake spits back as he stares at my very visible bruises. " Who was that Magnolia." His fists are slowly clenching and unclenching at his sides and now I know his patience is gone.

At this moment the rest of the brothers storm back in but I keep my gaze steady on Blake. The rest of brothers probably eavesdropped this conversation and heard Blake talk about the bruises. Now I have to deal with all of them, fuck me.

Blake slowly lays a hand near mine, as he tries to take it in his own, but I pull away. I stare into the eyes of the brother that I used to be the closest to when I was younger, when suddenly a memory pops up in my head like a light bubble.

I take a step forward with shaking legs. I slowly breath in and out as I try not to fall down this high tree where I had the good idea to climb on. I hear someone yell; Blake.

"Magnolia !"

As my eyes look for him, I don't concentrate and my foot slips and I loose my balance on this fine branch. Just in time I grab the branch with my tiny hands, which stops me from crashing down on the grass. I hear Blake yell once again and fear floods over me. It was such a bad idea. Now I am holding onto the tree, my two legs hanging over the void with only my small hands to keep me up.

"Blake !" I cry out for help, as I feel my grip on the branch slowly loosen. I look down and see him standing right under me, ready to catch me.
