~Magnolia Knight~
"Get in the car dumbass" I laugh as I am already seated in Rage, waiting patiently for the freaked out Gab to get in. He is clearly scared to drive in the same car as me, but I don't think he would ever admit that as the right hand of one of the most powerful mafia bosses. Never.
"No, no go ahead. I-I" he clears his voice and rubs his neck. "I'll just wait for you to come back. Right here is good." I smile widely at him and to finally see him again after such a long time. I really missed him. But suddenly it's like he something came in his mind and he shockingly starts to climb into the passenger seat. Okay ?
"What was that about ?" I mock and push him slightly, but he completely ignores me and rolls his eyes.
"Go on now Mags." he indicated the road in front of us and I don't hesitate to let the engin roar, before pushing my foot on the pedal, so we both feel as the vehicle shoots forward.
"You can't believe how much I missed racing this baby." I chuckle as we gain speed in the corners and in the corner of my eyes, I even see a small smile appear on Gab's lips.
After an hour of catching up with him and my car, it's time for me to go home. Grey already send me a text saying that he knew I left the house and that he was waiting for me to come immediately and to be ready with an explanation. I told Gab about my brothers and he didn't look surprised at all. No shit Magnolia of course he knows about his rivals.
When I park the car inside the truck again, we both get out and I take that as my cue to ask him a question.
"Did you know that they were my brothers all along and didn't want to tell me ?" I confront him, because I knew by the look on his face that he was hiding something from me. I just didn't know what.
"What do you mean Mags." He gives me a confused look and I can't help myself but to scoff.
"Maybe it doesn't look like it Gab, but I know you. I know when you are hiding something and it is bothering you. Since we got in the car you haven't stopped shaking your leg so what the hell is going on ?"
" First of all why do you attack me like that ?" He chuckles, but I keep an emotionless face, dead serious, which makes him sight. "No I didn't know about your brothers Mags. I knew them, because we are in reality allies. The Knight Brothers ship us all the guns and bullets and other stuff we need, in exchange we protect them and pay them. That's how it works. I heard about their dead sister, but I never knew she was alive and even less that she was right in front of my nose. So no, I didn't know Mags. But if I knew, I would have got you out of that Hell hole." He pauses and looks at me with a clenched fist. " Things with the gang have been quite hectic these past few days, that's why I am not serene. You should be careful too, because it not only concerns us, but your brothers too."
I was about to ask him what is was about, but my mouth falls right back close, when I see the look on his face that says "I am not going to tell you." I sight.
"I have to go... but I will see you Sunday night at the race right ?" I asks him and he nods slowly. "Cool." I give him a tight hug, before walking in the direction of the car I came with, time was ticking and I needed to get my ass home. And fast.
Just like I expected, Greyson was waiting in the garage, his arms crossed over his torso, with a deadly look on his face, as soon as I park the stolen car.
