~Magnolia Knight~
I park the car that I borrowed from my brothers, behind the warehouse I was at last time to meet Gab, and walk towards my car that was already eagerly waiting for me. This time is asked Gab to change the position of my phone, because last time Greyson caught me it this exact same place and he will definitely come back to me for that.
I step inside Rage, the keys already set, so the only thing I need to do is start my baby and make her live again.
"I'll take care of her J, I swear." I whisper under my breath as I slowly make my way towards the race track that is about half an hour away from here. There is still an empty feelings inside of me, wanting to be filled, but it will never happen.
When I arrive at my destination, cars from all sorts surround Rage and myself which kinda gives me a lighter feeling. This time I made sure to bring a helmet with me, one that belongs to my brother, but they wouldn't even notice, because of how many they already have. I leave my windows open to let the fresh wind of the night slip through my rebel black hair strains that slips under the helmet. I smile to myself when people recognise my car, pointing their fingers at it and murmuring jealously.
Luckily Gab reserved a spot for me on the white start line and I park the car at this exact same spot, tug my hair back inside and climb out of the car to greet my friend. He was already patiently waiting for me, a grin plastered on his scary little face.
"I saw you made some last changes with the wheels Gab." I state, to which he simply shrugs his shoulders. "It's better this way, thanks."
"No probs MJ." I admire how he is so used to use this nickname in the right moments and I am grateful he does, because I would have been in serious trouble otherwise. "I put your name down, and let me tell you, the boy who took the list to look at it, went white from shock when he saw your name. It's funny." I gently slap Gab ok the shoulder, because of his mockery. "But you need to know that you aren't the only good one here MJ. Someone who is used to these kind of races is gonna be there." He explains simply, but it doesn't even make me scared anymore. If someone wants to race I'll be ready, point.
"His name ?" I question Gab and look around myself to see people looking at us from the crowd that gathered around us to watch the start. My eyes then fall on someone who seems to try and push his way through the crowd to settle himself in the front row. It's my little classmate Will. Told you he would be here. He was the one to bring me to my first race in this town, so he is for sure not going to miss this epic one. When Will spots me, he nods his head towards me, a small worried expression on his face, which makes me frown. I see as he looks next to me, at the place where Gab is standing, and gives him a small nod as well. Gab greets him back.
"You know each other ?" I frown as I ask Gab, next to me, but he just coldly shakes it off.
"No." He firmly responds and looks back at my car to make the last checks, before the start of race. "Did you hear me when I said against whom you were going to race ?"I slowly shake my head, feeling bad that I didn't listen to him, when he talked to me. I hear him sight and shake his head, just like I did seconds before.
"His race car is called Belladonna. He has won all the races, without losing a single one, since years. He wasn't there last time you raced though, which was good for you, but now you won't really be able to avoid this demon."
"Oh come on, he can't be that bad right ?" I try to laugh it off, but Gab stays silent, which is definitely not a good sign. "Fuck me." I mumble and try to focus back on my car and the race, but somehow I couldn't still my nerves.
The sound of a loud engine can be heard from already miles away, which intrigues me and I gasp in amazement when I see the a beautiful car slowly rolling towards the white start line, until it stops two spots next to me. Loud cheers can be heard from the crowd, which could only mean that this is the famous Belladonna. The windows are tinted, the colour of the car is shiny, but spotless, and I can even distinguish small engravings on the bottom of the car. It's beautiful.
