Being woken up by the least soft person in the house is not the best thing that can happen to you and it's a fact. I was a grumpy all day long. I even ended up ramming into a poor girl, which made us both fall on our asses in the middle of the corridor. We looked at each other for a second, before bursting into laughter. She seemed nice to be honest.
Any way, that day I got in contact with Gab and actually ended up skipping lunch for this one. He got me some information that he knew and that I wanted to hear. Or maybe not.
"Mags, Nick has been off the grid since you left. Someone is helping him to hide. We have been on this one for a while, but security is hella hard to crack... Something is telling that we are close though." Gab fills me in with some information he got from the gang. I am aloud to know since, I used to be apart of that one for a couple of months thanks to Jace having me by his side at all times.
"Thanks Gab, it really means something to me you know." I sincerely thank him for the attention he gives me, along with the trust. I can't wait to finally see him again, which will hopefully be when he brings me my car. Only two more days, until I get to see him and close up all this distance between us.
A short silence falls upon us, and I feel like he has something else in mind, but he isn't sure if he should tell me or not. "Gab what else is going on ?" I ask him and hear him let out a sigh, before he clears his throat.
"I need to tell you something else..." he hesitates to continue, probably unsure if it is safe to tell me or not.
"Go on shoot." I convince him.
"Your foster dad...Steve... someone took care of him." He states, which makes a huge silent fill the bathroom where I have been hiding in for the past ten minutes.
"W-What do you mean Gabby ?" Took care of him ? what the hell does he mean with that ?
"Listen, I am not supposed to tell you. You will know sooner or later, I promise you. You might even find it out yourself, which wouldn't even surprise me in the slightest, but you need to keep your head up. I have to go now sweetheart. I am sorry it's all I have for you at the moment. I will have more when we meet again in two days."
"No, don't you dare cut me off now Gabriel Stone. You know so much more than you say you d-"
And with that he cuts the call. I stay unmoved looking at my phone in disbelieve. Did he fucking just hand up on me like this ?
The Gab I know would actually never to do such a thing. It's like someone was behind him, giving him instructions of what he should tell me and not. He seemed off and that unsettles me, because he usually doesn't let himself be ordered around... especially not now that he is the leader of Burning Heath. Something is going on.
