Chapter 6.1 Connecting the Dots

Saturday October 22

I woke later that day the sun was shining through my window. I looked at the clock. I had slept for 12 more hours. Tack was gone I'm sure he had gotten up hours ago. I got up and got dressed. My closet was full of really cool outfits I picked a dark purple dress and black tights. I slipped on some black flats and walked down the stairs to the second floor.

I really hadn't taken a good look at my room or my house. I didn't look at the rooms the first time Tack showed me around. I opened the first door from my stair case it was a child's room meant for a girl the walls were purple with pink and yellow dots in different sizes all over it. There were dolls and stuffed animals and a little table set with a play tea set. I shut the door and walked to the next room. It was set up for a boy. The walls were striped in blues. It had trucks and blocks and all sorts of boy stuff. The next room was at the end of the hall it was the family tree room I thought all the rooms were bedrooms, but I remember Tack saying the first time he showed me the house that he couldn't wait for me to see the family tree on the wall.

I walked into a large room it was three stories tall and round. It had several balconies that went all around the room and a staircase going to each. I didn't remember seeing a tower from the outside of the house. Then something hit me I ran from the room and down the stairs. I ran out the front door. I looked at the house. I was sure I was right. I ran back inside.

"Tack! Tack! Where are you?" He was nowhere. Charlotte came out of the kitchen.

"He's not here right now Miss Cherry."

"I need to get to school I have to check something." Just then Tack walked thru the door.

"Tack! Oh good I'm so glad you are here." I ran into his arms. He kissed me softly.

"What's wrong." He was worried.

"I need you to take me back to school."

"Okay why."

"I need to check something."

"Okay I'll take you but the school is locked its Saturday so where do you need to be? I will open the doorway at that spot."

"The art room."

He stood and closed his eyes the fog appeared in front of him.

"Do you want me to go with you?"

"Yes I want you to see something and tell me if I am right. I have a feeling that I am."

We walked thru the fog and into the art room. I walked over to my picture I had drawn and uncovered it.

"Look." I pointed to the house. "That's my house and I didn't know who the girl was I drew but I think it is me."

Tack looked at my piece. "I think you are right, but why do you think you drew her sad?"

"I don't know. I didn't really think about what I was drawing when I did. I had no plan, I just started to draw. Do you think it is something like what your mother has seen? You said she saw sadness around the visions right?"

"Well it is defiantly your house and I agree that this must be you. I will have to ask my mother if she has seen anything like this but I don't think so she had not seen you after your change. It is all a sign that things are going to be fine I believe. " He bent and kissed me.

"Do you like my vampire self better than how I am now?"

"I love you the way you are Cherry. I fell in love with you. Remember I hadn't seen your changes my mother has not seen them yet. You are beautiful just the way you are and your picture may or may not be what you will look like but the odds are pretty good.

He bent and kissed me. "Cheer up my love lets go home."

We walked back thru the fog and into my house.

"I want to finish looking at the rooms upstairs I really haven't taken a good look at the house."

I walked up the stairs and opened the door to the right. It was a guest room all done in green.

"The green room." Tack laughed.

"Yes it is green."

The next bedroom was not as untouched as the others had been.

"This is technically my room for now I am not supposed to be sleeping in your room."

"Why not."

"We are not married so I have to come down here and mess up the bed and make it looked used. I might have to actually sleep there some nights if the house staff starts snooping around. Which they might that is what happens but don't worry they are bound to us to keep secrets. All the vampires know you are here and know that we are to be married but must believe we are staying pure. If anyone thought we might have made love it could be dangerous. It could get to the killers and they might find you. It is dangerous that everyone knows about you there are some human vampire children we don't know if we can trust. But we know that only a vampire can open a doorway so it would take some planning for the Killers to sneak in. If they did get in we would close all the doorways and have to haunt them down."

"I'm scared Tack."

"Try not to be I will protect you. All you have to do is call for me and I will come to your side."

"Okay." He bent and kissed me. "Let's finish looking at the other rooms."

We walked into the last room it was another guest room decorated similar to the green room but in red.

"The red room?" I asked

"Of course."

"Will you come up to my room?" I grinned

"You are trouble do you know that." He grinned back.

"Yes I know but we can just watch a movie and then I'll go to bed I am so tired. I may not make it thru the opening credits."

"You do look tired you need to stay strong I will order us up some food as well. What would you like to eat."

"Oh anything I really haven't eaten much today I'm starving."

"Go up to your room I will go to mine and order then meet you up there."

"Okay please don't take long."

"I will be up soon my love." He said as he walked me to my stairs then kissed me on my cheek.

I walked up the staircase to my door when I walked in my bed was made and my room was all clean. Charlotte must have cleaned while I was at the school. I walked over to the movies and skimmed through the titles till I found one that looked good. It was Speed I hadn't seen that one in a while so I got the TV ready and when into the bathroom to get ready for bed. When I walked back into the room Tack was there in his pajamas and standing by the table.

"Would you like to eat a little?"

"Yeah I'm very hungry."

We ate in silence and when we were done Tack called Charlotte to come get the trays the he walked over to me and picked up my hand and kissed it softly and pulled me to my feet. He walked me to the couch and sat down with me so we could start the movie Charlotte came in with some popcorn and set it on the table in front of us.

"Will there be anything else."

Tack looked at me. "Oh... No... Thank you Charlotte Have a good evening."

"Thank you ma'am you as well." She picked up the tray from our dinner and left the room."

I started the movie I was going to be good tonight. I curled up next to Tack and he wrapped his arms around me.
