Chapter 4.2 Caught

Then we left the club and walked thru the fog we were back in the library.

"I will walk out first we have to be careful not to be seen I don't want them to find you."

"Okay I wait here a few minutes then walk out the other doors." I said.

He kissed me quickly on the lips and then walked away. I stood there and had to wrap my arms around myself to keep from falling apart. Then Rachel popped around the corner and scared the crap out of me.

"I thought you were studding." 

"I was."

"No you were not, I saw you kiss that guy again. You have a boyfriend that you are trying to keep a secret from me. Why?"

"Rachel its complicated please don't tell anyone." She gave me an evil grin. "Rachel I'm serious I don't ask anything of you but this please keep to yourself please."

See looked me over for a second I still had my hand wrapped around my stomach. Her eyes got wide. "Are you pregnant?"

"No!" I said a little too loudly dropping my arms. "No I'm not pregnant and I'm not having sex. Rachel, I just need you to say nothing to anyone."

"Fine but you better tell me what's going on soon."

"Fine I will tell you when it's the right time. Okay?"

"Fine." She walked off.

Rachel was going to be a problem. The rest of school was the same as always I didn't have art today Miss Tipple was out of town so we were split off into other classes. Tack was sent to the library and I was sent to the office to be a TA. About half way thru the period I remembered we could communicate with our minds so I tried it.

"Tack?"

"It's about time I have been trying to talk to you."

"Sorry I just remembered about it. We have another problem."

"What's wrong!" I could feel him stiffen'.

"My friend Rachel is being nosy she saw us kiss by my car the other day and she was spying on me and saw us kiss in the library."

"Okay that is a easy fix next time we will have our last kiss before we leave the vampire world."

"I was wanting to ask you about that. How did we end up in the club the last time it was in the northwest side of town."

"Only vampires can open a doorway to the vampire world. That is why the Killers have not been able to find us. They were ejected when one of the vampires who can read minds without permission herd them thinking about what they were planing to do. They were all arrested and thrown out. Then we hid the doorways from them. In doing so it keeps all the human vampire children out so they have to be escorted in and out. We can't open a doorway to close to your house because the killers are watching for the doorways to open and I want it to be far away from you so they can't find you."

"But you opened one at school?"

"Yes it was risky but it was the only way we could talk without being heard. I knew you were scared I could see it in your eyes."

"Okay well the bell is about to ring where do you want me to drive to?"

"Drive north. You will find it."

"I Love you." My heart squeezed.

"I love you too. I will see you soon."

At that the bell rang. I walked to my car and drove home to drop off my bag. My mother was there.
