Chapter 9.3 Reckless

We woke up the next morning we were under the covers we were naked and bloody. He turned his head to me and kissed me softly.

"You awake?"

"I don't know. Am I?"

"We have to get up there are things that need to be prepared for."

"Yeah I guess I do."

I got up and went into the bathroom to shower and get dressed in some of the cloths that were in my new closet. When I came out Tack was dressed and waiting for me at the table with some food.

"Thank you I'm so hungry."

"Yes you didn't eat last night."

"Oh yeah that's right but I had something better than food. You." I kissed him then remembered the real reason I didn't eat I felt sick to my stomach and I sat down.

"Cherry everything will be fine someone will be coming by so all the arrangements can be made."

Tack pulled me into his arms and I began to cry again. "Tack how long do you think this pain will last."

"I can't know Cherry, you suffered a great loss you loved your parents very much I know. It is going to take time."

"I love you."

"I love you Cherry with all my heart I wish I could make the pain go away."

"Try." I cried.

He pulled me close and kissed me until we were out of breath. He kisses down my neck to my shoulder and back up to my neck. I was wearing a low-necked Tank top with glovers that laced up to my shoulders with leather cord. It was sexy and I knew it much be hard for Tack to see all the skin I was showing.

"Will it help if I wore cloths that didn't show so much skin?"

"Your skin is very tempting. I want to rip all your cloths off and make love to you it is very hard for me to control myself."

"From now on I will wear cloths that cover my shoulders and go up to my neck."

"I hate to ask you to do that. But we did almost go to far last night."

"Last night was amazing."

"I'm just sorry it was a reaction to what had happened."

"Me to." I pulled out of his arms and walked over to the fire-place and sat on the floor.

"You just need time Cherry, You will be able to move on."

"I know. Your mom said I will start the change Friday right?"

"Yes. The change takes time but we have figured out ways to make it seem short to you but it will be an eternity for me."

"Can you explain it to me what happens?"

Tack walked over and sat next to me. "We have a small group of vampires we call Doctors who will give you some medicine to put you to sleep after you drink the elder blood. You will sleep thru the change."

"Will you stay by my side until it is over."

"Of course I will. I wouldn't think of leaving you alone. You will have to stay asleep for a few days so your body inside can change it can be painful that is why we put you to sleep so you don't feel the pain. When you wake you will have to start eating raw meat to keep yourself strong. Your outside will change slowly over the next few months, your skin will pale and you hair will grow till you are your vampire within."

"So what did you look like before you changed?"

"I was shorter I had my hair cut off, my skin was a light olive and my eyes were brown."
