Family Time

Cream's P.O.V

I stirred as Charmy, Tails, and Cheese were trying to help me get up. "Cream, you okay?" Charmy asked me. "Y-Yeah I think so. My back hurts. But... I'm alive!" I replied happily. "You dropped your phone and we heard you screaming. What happened?" Tails asked me. "Well, I was on the phone with Dad when two guys were coming up to me. I started to walk away but they followed me and grabbed me. Please don't tell me he heard everything!" I explained, then I grabbed my phone that had tons of texts from Shadow.

Panicked, I decided to call him again. Both of them told me to put it on speaker. "Cream? Oh god, Cream are you okay?" he asked me. "Yeah, dad, I'm fine! Just... had a situation." I sighed. "Screaming on the phone is a situation!?" he cried. "Shadow, she's fine! We're all here now! You can relax!" Tails reassured.

He was quiet for a couple of minutes but I heard him sigh sadly. "You okay?" I asked. "Yeah... I'm fine. I'm glad you are too. I'm sorry." "Dad, it's fine! You were scared but everything's okay now. I'll talk to you soon!" I reassured. He said his goodbyes and I hung up after I made him sure all four of us were safe. "He's not going to be happy when we go back." Charmy said.

"I know I know. But he'll have to put up with it. I'm ready to go back now?" I asked them. Both nodded, somewhat annoyed. But in the end, we walked home together.  Cheese held onto me tight, scared of losing me. "I'm okay Cheese, just relax!" I reassured. "Chew chew." he whimpered, holding onto me tight.

By the time we got home, I was exhausted, that I fell forward on my bed. I buried my face in my pillow and wondered what to do. Cheese came to my side and patted my head trying to help me feel better. My whole ordeal was scary, but I guess you could say I barely could feel anything about it. "Chew chew? Chew chew chew." he asked. My cheeks turned red as I heard him ask me about my rescuer. Kai. To be honest, I was surprised he brought it up. "Well, he was kind enough to help me I'll give you that. And... it was... somewhat admiring." I said, my cheeks becoming redder than ever.

Cheese kept giving me a look and I felt my mood change. "Oh my gosh, Cheese! No!" I cried. He giggled happily seeing my face turn redder than a tomato.

Finally, I got changed and ready for bed. So relieved to make it back in one piece.

It was Saturday, the first weekend we've had since all this craziness. Charmy had to rush through his assignments just so we could go. The scenery was beautiful as we came back home. I missed my entire home even though we've only been gone for one week.

I was more than excited to see my family. Everyone was already there waiting for us to come back. I guess our departure really affected them all in some sort of way. "You excited?" I asked them. "I guess, it'll be interesting to see how well the others are doing without us." Tails replied happily. "Eh, I just hope Vector's not gonna crack my ribs again." Charmy replied. I giggled remembering when that did happen!

We approached Sally's castle and walked out. The guards greeted us with smiles, happy to see us again. They haven't seen us in such a long time. They were surprised by how tall we got. "I don't think we've seen you since your middle school graduation!" one said. I smiled, thinking back to the time when we didn't have to worry about much. "Well, they're inside waiting for you! Tell them we said hi!" another went. "We will! Don't worry!" Tails reassured and we were allowed inside the castle.

I almost forgot how big this place was. We probably would've gotten lost if not for Sally and Amy who found us. "Oh my gosh! Cream! Tails! Charmy! Cheese! It's only been a week but we've all missed you!" Amy geeked as she ran up to hug us. "Ow! Not so tight Amy!" Charmy cried after hearing his rib pop. "Oop! Sorry!" Sally chuckled and walked up to hug us without suffocating anyone. "We're glad you could make it! Shadow's been pacing ever since he came here." she said.

"What about Vector and Espio?" Charmy asked. "Oh, Espio's fine! Vector on the other hand... welllll, he's been lonely ever since!" she replied. "But doesn't he have two kids driving him insane?" Tails questioned. "Yes, but he says it's not the same!" she chuckled. "C'mon, they'll be relieved to finally see you!"

Finally, we reached the room where everyone was waiting for us. I've never had Shadow hug me so hard! Vector didn't let go of Charmy for a long time. Finn had to pry his fingers off! Sonic was just loving towards Tails. The others were also there to ask about how our time was in college. But seeing my nieces and nephews was probably my favorite part! "Is the place really big?" Cooper asked me as he jumped onto my shoulders. "What are the others like over there?" Spirit asked Tails.

"Could we go over there sometime?" Hunter questioned Charmy. "How do you write with a pencil Cheese?" Crystal asked. "Can I borrow a penny?!" Bella asked us. I smiled and ruffled their hair. Gladly, I handed Bella a penny for whatever she needed it for. "So how do you guys like your school so far?" I asked them. "It's okay. The teacher's mean sometimes." Finn responded. "She is cranky a lot." Spirit replied.

Hunter tried looking for my arm and I helped onto my lap as he touched my face. "I've been trying to memorize others by feeling their face. I hope you don't mind!" he replied. "Oh not at all! If it helps you I don't mind at all!" I reassured, allowing him to touch my face some more.

"Aunt Cream, did you find a boyfriend yet?" Bella asked me. My mind went blank hearing that from her. I could hear Tails and Charmy snickering. Cheese kept raising his eyebrows rapidly. "Well... have you Cream?" I heard a growl behind me. Shadow kept staring at me, he looked like he was going to murder someone. "Uh... No. I haven't found anyone yet!" I said, my cheeks turning red. "I don't know, you keep getting friendly with that wolf from your one class!" Tails teased. I gave him a look to be quiet which he obliged.

Shadow walked towards them. "What's his name?" he growled. "Uhhh... Tai, Kei, Rai. Something like that." Charmy replied. "How tall is he?" "Uhhhhh... why?" Tails questioned. "Dad, please don't tell me you're thinking about a killing spree..." I whined. "I never said killing him. But maybe I should reconsider." 

I sighed in annoyance and felt a tug on my shirt. "So does Cream have a boyfriend or what?" Cooper questioned once more. "No! Cream doesn't have one! I won't allow it! You can't convince me otherwise!" he declared before running off.

Well... that escalated.
