More Kids

Cream's P.O.V

Coming back to our apartment, I smelled food inside the kitchen and walked inside to find Kai cooking. "Hey! You're back!" he said, still prepping the food. "Hey!" I said and began coming closer. But the minute I did, suddenly I felt nauseous. I ran off to the bathroom and threw up. "HEY! CREAM YOU OKAY?" Kai asked me. "I'm fine!" I hollered back, still feeling sick. He ran in and came to my side. "It's okay... I've got you." he said, rubbing my back.

When I finally recovered, I brushed my teeth and apologized to Kai for making a scene. He reassured me it was okay. We finished making dinner together for our guests coming in for the evening. As I set the table, I felt all three of our kids kicking around inside. You guys definitely have your father's energy! I smiled seeing the table set. Charmy and Tails were on their way and they said they had their own good news to share!

Kai came out with the food just as we heard a knock at the door. "Coming! Kai, can you get it?" I shouted. "I've got it!" Kai shouted back and answered the door. I couldn't really hear anything from where I was but I heard them greeting each other. When they came back, it was only Tails who walked in. "Tails! Oh my gosh hi!" I cheered running up to hug him. "Hey! It's so good to see you!" he replied. "Where's Charmy? He's here isn't he?" I asked confused. "Oh yeah, he's coming! He just has to get something from the backseat!" Tails replied.

I nodded my head. "Well, we'll just wait for them! Come and sit down!" I said and had both of the guys seated as I went back into the kitchen to handle a few things before we ate. I heard the commotion in the dining room where the two began talking excitedly. The door opened up again. I grabbed our drinks before heading back. There was Charmy and Tails with Kai who was awing and making sounds as he looked down at something.

What in the world is he doing? I wondered as I stepped in. "Charmy! You made it!" I said excitedly. Kai jumped up in surprise. Tails and Charmy smiled as I walked toward them. Only now did I have a clear view of what Kai had been looking at. In Charmy's hands was a bundle of blankets. But inside of it was a newborn baby. Immediately I dropped everything and raced over to see the baby.

On closer inspection, I saw that the baby was a bright white fox with these icy blue eyes and its nose was black as coal. They stared up at me with wide eyes. I almost squealed in excitement. "TAILS! CHARMY! OMG IT'S A LIVE BABY!" I screamed. Charmy chuckled and handed them over. "Wanna hold him?" he asked. "Oh- YEAH!" I said and gently took the baby into my arms. I awed over the little guy who gently whimpered in my grasp. They watched me carry the little guy around. I finally handed him over to Tails who gently held the baby.

"So what's his name?" I asked. Both of them looked at each other lovingly, putting their foreheads together. "We've decided to name him Frost," Tails said. "We just adopted him the other day." he added. I nodded my head casually before realizing what he just said. "Oh my god! Guys that's awesome!" I cheered. "Yeah, dude! That's amazing! We had no idea you two had even considered adopting!" Kai reacted. "Heh, yeah well it came as a surprise to us too! But... this one was special."

My heart melted watching him gently nuzzle their baby as Charmy walked over and put his head on Tails' shoulder. I awed at both of them in amazement and sighed happily for them. We sat around the table and I was able to hold their baby a little bit more. As I got comfortable, I had almost forgotten the purpose of our dinner. "So Cream, what's this big news you were all over?" Charmy asked as he put another fork full of food in his mouth.

I popped back into my reality looking at them. I handed the baby back and Kai took my hand gently while nuzzling me gently. "I have to admit this news we're about to tell you even took us by surprise! Don't get me wrong, we're both excited! We've just... We've got a lot on our plates right now!" I giggled. "Oh c'mon just spit it out! You're making us anxious! I mean I haven't seen you this excited or happy since the wedding! C'mon, you gotta tell us!" Charmy urged.

"Okay Okay! Since you wanna get to the point already," I said and reached into my pocket excitedly. There was an envelope already with the labels on them. I handed it over to them and they took it confused. I instructed them to open it up which they did. They opened it up carefully and they pulled out my sonograms. Their expressions changed as they looked at all four pictures I had given them.

There were three pictures of the different babies. Then there was one picture that showed all three of them together. The triplets I was going to have in less than three months.  "Oh wow... Cream is this for real?!" Tails asked intently looking me in the eyes. I nodded while letting giggles escape. "Wow! Cream we're so happy for you!" Charmy cheered. "You mean we're getting three Cream juniors?" I laughed. "Well, some of them might be Kai juniors but yes. Three! Which... if I'm being honest it'll be a handful..." I said trailing off.

Kai noticed this. He usually does. Even they noticed it. Kai tried putting his head on my shoulder to comfort me but I don't think it changed how I felt. "Hey uh, Kai, could we get the room?" Tails asked of him. "Oh, sure..." he said and got up to leave. Once he was gone, the two sat closer to me. "Are you okay?" Charmy asked me.

I nodded my head and leaned on him. Tails walked over and hugged me with Charmy, their baby in their arms. "What's bothering you?" they asked. I shrugged and sighed. "Do you think I'm good enough for this job?" Both of them looked surprised by the question but chuckled. "Cream, if anyone should be a parent here, it's you! You're going to be a great mom!" Charmy reassured me. I smiled.

"He's right. Everything you've ever done has been good! Now is a perfect time. You're healthy, you have someone who cares about you so much, and we're all here to support you! These three kids have the best mother in their life. You'll be fine!" Tails promised me.

They hugged me tightly as I embraced their warm touch. Even at the age, we were at, we always had each other's backs. We were still close as we could be. I couldn't ask for anything more in this new part of my life.
