As the two boys passed by each other, the feeling of mutual hatred radiated off the two causing them to both stop dead in their tracks; their backs still facing each other.
"I will never forgive you for letting them take her," Kris spoke through gritted teeth.
Yongguk smirked as he titled his head slightly, "What makes you think I'm going to get on my knees and beg for your mercy? Like Luhan said before: It's everyone's fault."
Suddenly, Kris turned around and Yongguk did the same as the two leaders glared at each other. They stood this way for a few minutes before Kris finally spoke up, "She should have dated me."
Yongguk cocked an eyebrow as he moved closer to the boy in front of him, "And why is that?"
"I would have protected her. I would have made sure she hadn't been--been kidnapped by some psychotic alien!" Kris growled as he clenched his fists.
From their bedrooms, the remaining boys walked out as they watched the two leaders fits of rage.
Yongguk's eyes burned with fire as his stare pierced into Kris' soul, "You would have brought her danger too. You honestly think she would have been perfectly safe with you?"
Smiling triumphantly, Kris nodded, "I do."
Raising his eyebrows as she sighed and walked over to Chanyeol who was leaning against the door flame, Yongguk gestured his hand towards the taller boy, "Let's see. He has tantrums where he practically burns down a whole city until he gets what he wants. XiuMin can freeze her into a block of ice. Oh, and you can fly. What if you were to be flying with her and you accidentally dropped her?"
Kris turned silent as he swallowed his saliva before cracking his knuckles, "That's not nearly as bad as what you let happ-" but Yongguk cut him off, "I let that happen? I don't know if you noticed, but I was trying to save her!"
"So was I! You know, maybe if you hadn't been there and just let the guys and I take care of it, then they would both still be here!" Kris yelled, gritting his teeth afterwards.
Bang opened his mouth to speak, but before he could, Suho suddenly began to yell, "All right! That is enough! I don't want to hear another word out of you two! Do you understand me? Kris, you failed because you weren't able to save Sara and Yongguk, it's the same story with you! You both are in the same position, so I suggest you both shut your mouths."
The two boys fell silent, but this time, Luhan cleared his throat, "Why should they stop? They might as well continue their argument so it won't turn out into a death match between the two."
Yongguk smiled as he nodded his head in agreement, "I agree. If we stop now, well, I don't know if I'll be able to control my anger in the future."
Gritting his teeth together, Kris began clench his fists causing a slight wave of flames to shoot up his arms before the flames turned into a dragon symbol behind him.
"Let's settle this like men," he growled as the dragon disappeared, "what do you say Yongguk?"
Before Yongguk could reply, the door suddenly swung open. The boys turned as they saw Lieutenant Song walk in; jaw clenched tight along with his fists as fire burned in his eyes.
"I suggest this madness be put to a halt immediately! I do not want to hear another word of blame roll of your tongues again! You all are a team and what does a team do? They stick together! Sure, do they have their quarrels? Yes, but not like this! You two!" The Lieutenant yelled as he pointed two fingers at Kris and Yongguk, "You two are the leaders of your group! Maybe you should take a lesson from Suho. He's a leader too, but is he quarreling and acting like an enraged imbecile?"
The two boys grew silent as they kept their eyes lowered to the ground. Lieutenant Song sighed heavily as he walked towards the two, the crowd of boys circled around them quickly stepping aside so the man could stand in front of them.
"If anything, it was my fault. I should have told you two to be more careful, but I didn't. I figured you two knew, but I was wrong, so if you're going to point the blame at someone, then point your finger at me. I don't want you two fighting, you understand me? This is not going to help us get the girls back. All it will do is make you two grow apart from each other and later on, not want to be on the same team which means it will only bring more trouble. Plus, you two are best friends, so why throw that friendship away now?" Lieutenant Song explained in a calmer manner.
Bowing for a few seconds, the two boys apologized to the man in front of them as they remained to keep their eyes lowered away from his.
Nodding, the older man began to walk towards the door, but not before turning around to add, "I see everything, by the way. If there are any more fights like this, I will know and well, there will be punishments."
This time the whole crowd of boys nodded as they all bowed before Lieutenant Song exited the house.
With everyone still as silent as they were when the man was inside the house, they all began to thin out slowly as they walked back into their rooms.
"Yongguk," Kris spoke suddenly.
Turning around, Yongguk raised an eyebrow as he waited for him to explain what he wanted.
"This isn't over. Sure, we'll act like friends, but you and I both know things will never be the same," he spoke lowly.
"So be it then," Yongguk replied in the same tone as he stared the boy down.
The two remained this way before Kris smirked and stalked back into his bedroom. Yongguk sighed as he reached into his pocket to feel the edges of the photo he loved so much.
"Soon," he whispered as he ran a finger over the front of the picture of him and Sara.
