Five months later...
It was almost half of a year in another month and the boys still hadn't returned. The more time that passes, the bigger the scar in their hearts grew. Almost everyday a strange pain filled Sara's chest rendering her to try and remember how to breathe, while Bang would get sudden panic attacks or times where his heartache became so intense, he had to stop for a minute to try and calm down.
Could you blame them, though? They truly loved each other after all and with the sudden leave of absence which included the fact of never knowing when you would return, if you returned, seemed to become more unbearable each day to the point where the Lieutenant brought and idea to the boys' attention.
"Why did you call us in here?" Bang asked as him and the five others sat down around the table. Leaning back in his chair, the Lieutenant, or as they now called him "Lieutenant Song," folded his arms, "Well, this is mostly directed towards Yongguk." The leader's head shot up as he nodded his heads towards him, "What about me?"
Shrugging, Lieutenant Song smiled a bit, "You want Sara's heartbreak to be over, correct?" Bang nodded his head, "Of course! Why wouldn't I? It hurts me to know that she's in pain from all of---of---of this!" The older man leaned forward as the right side of his mouth turned upwards, "Good, so then you might like this plan."
The boys exchanged looks before turning their attention back to the Lieutenant who was laughing lightly, "Don't give each other that look boys, it's a pretty good idea." Himchan raised an eyebrow questioningly, "What's your idea, sir?" Standing up, Lieutenant Song paced back and forth in the large room.
"Well, if Bang were to pretend to be deceased-" but Bang interrupted him, "Deceased?" The Lieutenant held up a hand as a signal to let him finish and the younger male accepted the command as he suddenly went silent for two reasons: Fear and shock. "Now that I am able to finish, like I was saying, if Bang were to pretend to be deceased, we would be able to change up his look a bit and disguise him to where he would be able to visit Sara here and there in between the break you have now."
Bang nodded his head approvingly, but suddenly froze, "But Sara would be heartbrok--" but the Lieutenant shook his head, "I knew you would say that, which is why I have this prepared." As he walked to the front of the room, he rolled out a large board with a graph of percentages and words scattered everywhere.
"Statistics show that 98.9% of people who have lost a loved one eventually get over it if they find someone else they can turn to," Song explained as he pointed to the various percentages on the board. Crossing his arms, Bang leaned back, "And what if Sara isn't that 98.9%? What if she's the last-" but Song interrupted him once more, "She's not."
Yongguk raised a curious eyebrow as he threw his hands in the air, "And how do you know this?" Taking a seat again, Lieutenant Song simply answered, "Well, we had Tao look into the future for us and whether you like it or not now, you're going to agree with this plan. He had a clear vision of you disguised well and Sara laughing. She as happy and calm; the complete opposite of now."
Drawing in a sharp breath and then exhaling, Bang eyed the older man in front of him, "Then if I agree with this plan, why did you call us to this meeting?" Rising, Lieutenant Song made his way to the door as he spoke, "I thought it would be nice for you to know. Also, you're going into hair and makeup tomorrow to be disguised, so get some rest."
Yongguk stood also, "Wait." The older man turned around, "Yes?" Crinkling his eyebrows, Bang looked at him curiously, "Why are you letting me do this? I know it's not just because you feel pitty." Chuckling lightly, the Lieutenant shook his head, "You can never just take a nice gift, can you Yongguk?" Sighing lightly, Bang replied, "I guess not since this seems so suspicious."
Shrugging, Song turned around, but only to be called again. "One more comment," Yongguk said as he held up his pointer finger. Lieutenant Song nodded as Bang spoke, "I'm not doing this alone. I want someone to come with me." Nodding, the Lieutenant asked, "And who might this person be?"
Bang nodded towards the dark haired boy sitting at the corner of the table, "Daehyun will go with me."
