"Sara," Jaejoong spoke softly, "can I speak with you?"
Looking up slowly from the book she was reading, Sara shot him a small smile as she nodded towards the seat in front of her, "Go ahead."
Taking her offer, he sat down in the chair as she sat her book down and looked at him with waiting eyes. Clearing his throat, he began speaking, "How have you been?"
She shrugged as she leaned back, "I've been fine. How about you? How do you like the school?"
A smile curved the corners of his mouth upwards as he nodded approvingly, "I've been fine also and the school is pretty great too! Though, I miss someone very near and dear to my heart."
Sara nodded as she rolled her pencil back and forth on the table, "You have a girlfriend?"
Jaejoong nodded as held his hand up to his heart, "She's basically what keeps my heart beating."
A smile crossed Sara's face as she asked, "How long have you two been dating? How did you meet? Don't you see her anymore?"
Thinking about how to answer her jumble of questions, Jaejoong chewed on his bottom lip as he began to speak, "Well, we met a year ago on a very unexpected visit. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever laid my eyes on and the moment I saw her, it was pure love. A few months later, we began dating and have been together ever since, but an incident happened where I don't get to see her anymore. At least, not the way I wish I could see her. Sure, I see her around town and other places, but I can't talk to her like I used to, so my heart is bstill broken to the core."
Sara nodded her head as she listened. Letting out a small sigh, she raised her eyebrows, "With how you two met and fell in love, it is similar to how my boyfriend and I did."
He raised an eyebrow, "Really? Would you mind telling me about it?"
She smiled as she played with the eraser of the pencil, "Well, we too met a year ago. We happened to meet at a park while---watching a local concert."
Silently, Jaejoong laughed to himself hearing her answer to cover up the true way of how they actually met. He appreciated the fact that she was still keeping his secret identity hidden.
"Once I laid my eyes on him, I felt something funny start occuring with my heart. We soon became best friends and of course I had to keep my feelings for him a secret, so that's how I had spent my days. Secretly going insane while my heart would always scream at me to tell him how I feel."
"Did you tell him?" Jaejoong asked, already knowing the answer.
Sara shook her head, "No because he asked me out. Afterwards, we were together for almost a year until an--incident happened. Then, an even bigger and more mortifying incident happened which still leaves me waking up in cold sweats and causing me nightmares every night."
Jaejoong lowered his eyes to the table as he felt the same familiar pain in his heart. The words he had just heard completely cut his hearts into bits. Tears threatened to spill over his eyelids, but he stayed strong. He hated the fact that his "death" had hurt her, but he also knew he had to do it for her safety's sake.
"Jae," Sara asked softly as, "are you okay? Why are there tears in your eyes?"
Quickly, the boy in front of her cleared his throat as he sniffled a little bit, "I-I'm fine. Just allergies, that's all."
Scrunching her eyebrows, Sara leaned in as she examined his features. His eyes had dark bags under them while his lips were cracking and dry. Tears of sadness pooled in his eyes and his fingers slightly shook, but he was still faking a smile; something she had been doing herself lately so the others around her wouldn't worry.
"You don't seem fine. You look sad, so tell me what's wrong," Sara urged as she shook her leg nervously.
The boy shrugged as she shook his head, "It's honestly just allergies."
Slowly, a tear managed to escape as it slowly slid down his cheek. He quickly reached forward to dry it, but Sara beat him to it.
"No!" He exclaimed as he turned his head to move away from her fingers.
She quickly pulled away, "S-sorry?"
He cleared his throat as he laughed it off, "It's just, I'm sick, so I don't want you getting sick."
Sara slowly nodded her head as a voice behind them cleared his throat. Looking up, the two stared straight into the face of Kris.
"The teacher needs to see you about one of your assignments," Kris spoke softly to Sara.
She nodded and stood, "I'll talk to you later, Jaejoong."
He nodded and waved as he watched her walk away. Kris sighed as he sat down in the seat Sara had previously been sitting in, "That was one hell of a show."
Jaejoong scrunched his eyebrows, "What are you talking about?"
Kris sighed as he laughed slightly, "Your little tear-fest. I applaud you for crying in front of her. Now she really won't expect you're Yongguk."
"Is that supposed to be a compliment or an insult?" He questioned as he raised one eyebrow and shifted in his seat.
Kris thought about it for a second before answering, "Both."
Jaejoong rolled his eyes as he rose out of his seat, "Come on. We're going to be late for class."
The two boys began walking to their next destination, unaware of the pair of eyes that had been watching them intently.
"So he truly is Yongguk," a voice sneered.
