Months.

Sarah's POV

Issac had been living with me now for almost the rest of the year.He had been distant with Ash,as had I.She spent her hours with the marines guy.
'Stupid.'
I tried to talk to her multiple times but,she just avoided me.I decided to try and call her.I laid in bed drowsy not expecting her to answer.I heard the line click and my eyes shot open.
"Yes?"The other end said in an emotionless tone.
"Hey."I said softly.I heard heavy breathing on the other line.
"Look Sarah.Im sorry I'm at training right now."
"Lacrosse is over Ash."
"Not.That training."
"Oh."
"Yeah.I know I've been distant but I think it's best if I stay away from you.I only end up hurting people.Hell I hurt the one person,I swore to protect.How is he anyways?"
"Issac is fine Ash,but what do you mean?You haven't hurt me."
"I will.I always do."
"No.Ash."
"I'm sorry Sarah.Goodbye."I froze as the line clicked.I dropped my phone.I didn't even hear the footsteps up to my room.I jumped slightly when I heard a knock.
"You can come in."I saw Issac standing there awkward.I smiled.
"Um there's someone on the phone line."He said handing me the home phone.
"I forgot I had this thing."I put the phone to my ear.
"Hello?"
"Hello dear.Its your father.We were wondering if we could hold Christmas at yours this year?"
"Oh hello dad.Of course we can.Id love too.I do need to tell you that I have a guest here."
"Oh.Have you moved on from the last one?"
"Good riddance."I heard my mom mumble,I slightly smiled.
"Yes,but he is not a romantic partner.He is a student of mine."
"Ah.I see.Well I'd love to meet him,introduce him to the family."I glanced at him as he sweated bullets.
"He'd love that."
"Well I should be going dear.I will see you in two weeks."
"Of course."I hung up and tossed Issac the phone.He caught it at first fumbling.
"So,now that I'm being introduced to the scariest family in this state.Could I have some background knowledge."I smiled at him.
"Look kid,it's complicated.Were not just an actual blood family,there are others from different families.Some have no other family other than us."
"Ohh.So what do you guys even do?"
"Confidential."I said smiling."Now you need to go to bed young man.Big test tomorrow."He smiled.
"Good night Sarah."He said as he closed the door and walked out.
'He was the complete opposite of his sister.'
I laid my head down and felt my eye go dark.

Ash's POV
*two week skip*

'My lungs were on fire,but I didn't care.'I ran back and forth from the flagpole over and over again.
"Time!"I stopped in my tracks and took a deep breath as I fixed my posture,I saw the boy beside me heaving on his knees.
'Oh no.'
The tall man examined us all.He nodded to me as he passed.He stood in front of the boy.
"Is there a problem,son?"He asked and the boy immediately fixed his posture.
"No sir."He said quietly.
"What did you say boy?"He asked raising his voice.
"No sir!"He walked away from the boy.
"I think there is though.It don't seem to me that you want this badly!"
"I do sir!"
"Then prove it!Twenty more laps!"
'This kids heart was about to explode.'I cleared my throat.
"Excuse me sir!"He turned to me.
"Speak."
"It was my fault sir.I had been talking to him earlier."He sighed.
"Carter!Head home kid!"The boy mouthed 'Thank you' and jogged off.
"Why'd you do that?"
"He looked like he was going to topple over sir."He smiled at me.
"That kind of sympathy won't get you far kid.Twenty Laps now!"I sighed and began running.
*time skip*
My body felt limp as I walked to the bench.I plopped down.
"Here."I looked up and saw Moe holding out a water bottle.
"Thanks."I went to grab it but she pore it on me instead.I shot up with shock.
"What the fuck Moe?!"I asked shaking my self off.
"Your being a real ass you know that?"
"Says the one who just dumped water on me!"I scoffed.
"You deserved it.Issac is a mess so is Eli."She glanced around before quietly saying.
"So is Ms Paulson."
"Why should I care about how my teacher feels."She scoffed.
"The Ash I knew a few months ago did.I saw she held you as you sobbed in the bathroom Ash.I know,I don't care your fucking our teacher.I care that your hurting her and everyone else."I sighed.
"I know but I can't do anything about it now."I grabbed a shirt from my bag and quickly changed.
"Why not?"
"I have too much going on."
"Like what this marine training shit?"
"Yeah.I mean there's nothing else for me."
"What about acting?"She asked quietly.
"The hell are you talking about?"I scoffed looking at her.
"What about being respected?"
"I will be as a marine."
"I don't respect you.Not one bit."I felt a stinging on my face.I acted on instinct and grabbed her collar and pulled her in and kissed her.She quickly pulled away wiping her lips.She glanced at the parking lot then back at me.
"You've change Ash.You need to clean up your mess."I glanced to where she looked before and I saw Issac and Sarah standing there.I wiped the sweat from my face and walked to the parking lot.
'I miss her so much.'
I approached her and Eli.They were guarding my car.
"What are you two doing?"I asked.
"I know you hate us but there's no way we're letting you be alone on Christmas."He said.Before I knew it what felt like a bag covered my face.I was then pushed into a trunk.
'Merry christmas to me?"
