Irresponsible

Confusion.

Sarah's POV

I stood in Ash's garage with utter shock all over my face.I mean we had been together for almost half a year,but we never made it official.Let alone say It love you.'I mean she probably doesn't even feel the same way I do about her.I know she has to like me some but I don't know if she does as I much as I do her.This whole thing was stressing me out,I felt a drop of sweat trickle down my face.I felt disgusted.
"Gross."I headed inside out of the heat.I heard a shower running upstairs along with some distant singing.I softly smiled and walked into the kitchen.She really did do some renovating.I noticed the new appliances on the counter along with fresh produce in a basket.I saw a beautiful dahlia sitting under the sun on the window sill.
'My favorite.'
I glanced around and walked towards the living room.I saw a larger couch along with a few beanbags in the floor.Underneath the tv sat at least five gaming consoles,along with hundreds of games.
"Geek."I smirked laughing.I glanced to the nightstand next to the couch.I saw five books under it and one on top.I grabbed the first one I saw and smiled as I saw the title.
"She kept it."I noticed a sticky note on the front and looked at the messy writing on it.
'Astonishing book.I don't know if that word fits,I'm trying to expand my vocabulary.'I smirked and glanced at the others.However one caught my eye and I picked it up.
'They both die in the end.'The sticker at the top read.
'Lgbtq+ section.'
"Of course."I sat the book back down and heard descending foot steps.I sat down and fidgeted with my thumbs.I glanced at my phone and almost a whole hour had passed.I heard the footsteps grow closer and turned around.My mouth dropped open.She smirked.
"Do I look okay?"She wore a dark red suit tailored perfectly to her figure.Underneath she wore a silky black button up.Around her waist was a black Versace belt with a gold emblem,she also wore black suede dress shoes.I looked up at her and saw her wearing the skull necklace with her slightly curly softly pushed back.I shook my head when she stared at me confused.
"Uh.Y-yeah you look ho-I mean you look great."She walked over to me and looked me up and down.I wore a sleek black shirt dress with lacy long sleeves,with my hair curled.She leaned over me and softly locked our lips.When she pulled away she wore an adorable smile on her face,and ran a hand down my face.
"Your so beautiful."I slowly stood up and threw my arms over her shoulders,she looked down at me.She began kissing me more deeply and she gently but down on my bottom lip letting a soft moan escape my lips.I felt her smirk into the next kiss.She began trailing her lip down my jaw to my neck,I couldn't talk all I could do was tilt my head to give her better access.I finally was able to croak out a sentence.
"Hey baby we have to be there in less than thirty minutes,and it's twenty minutes away."She left one final kiss and looked up at me.
"We have ten minutes."I wanted to give in so badly but I knew we shouldn't.
"As much as I want to,we're already dressed and Id hate to ruin your sexy outfit before you can flaunt it."She laughed and pulled me into a hug.She leaned to my ear and softly whispered.
"We'll finish this later though."She stepped back and walked out to her car,I followed after and smiled.
"Damn right we will."I said getting into the seat beside her.The car ride consisted of small talk,laughs,music suggestions.We talked about almost everything,except about what happened earlier.Before I knew it we pulled up to that same bar we were at that one night.The theme was the red carpet,because Issac was such a movie nerd.She walked over to my side opened the door and held a hand out.I smirked and accepted her hand.
"How chivalrous."She let out a light chuckle and led us inside.

Ash's POV

I glanced around the room and saw familiar faces.I saw Moe,Eli and the rest of people were members of whatever you would call that thing that Sarah's family made.They were all nice and welcoming to me,and I'm glad Issac has a true family other than just me now.I felt a tap on my wrist and turned to her,she glanced to the bar and I let go of her wrist.
"You want anything?"She asked,I thought for a moment.
"Smoked cognac with gold flakes and diamond ice."I held back a smile.She furrowed her brows and laughed.
"Uh.Im just gonna get you a beer."
"Thanks."I laughed as she walked off.I buttoned then middle button on my suit and adjusted the cuffs.I put my hands in my pockets to be met with two small boxes.I gulped down the nervous feeling.Eli caught sight with me and pretty much sprinted over.He pulled me into a tight hug,I tapped his shoulder.
"Sorry I'm just so excited and nervous.You got it right?"He asked anxiety traced in his voice.I jokingly furrowed my brows at him.His face fell.
"Did I get what?"
"Ash.You.Didnt.Get.The.Promise.Ring?!"He shook my shoulders and I only laughed.
"This is no joking matter."He looked so stressed and I started to feel bad so I pulled out the small box.
"Oh I'm sorry you must have meant this box."He shoved my shoulder gently.
"Your an ass sometimes."He said leaning back on the wooden column and staring at the entrance.I did the same,until I saw Sarah walk up beside me she held the bottle to me and I grabbed it.
"Thank you."I gently kissed the side of her head and pulled her into a side embrace.
"That's kinda gay."I heard a voice beside me say.I turned to Eli who held back a laugh.
"Aren't you gay Eli?"
"Nope."I shot him a look with a smirk.
"So this ring in my pockets for a girl then right?"I said drinking a sip of my drink.He laughed.
"Oh absolutely.You guys didn't know me and Eli were getting hitched soon."Moe said walking behind him and putting him a head lock.
"Yeah guess the cats out of the bag now Moe."We all laughed.A blonde haired boy ran to the door and looked out before turning to everyone.
"He's here!Everyone hide."He said before flicking the lights off.
