A few hours have passed.

We ate some takeout food, and it has been fun hanging out with everyone.

It's been quite hard to be comfortable with the fact that some girl is hanging on Elijah.

I know I have no right to be jealous because we haven't established anything between us and even if we did there's still nothing I could do because he would probably want to put up an act to not make Simon suspicious of anything.

Which just makes things worse.

In my opinion.

We're sitting outside on this big terrace he has overlooking the city.

It's absolutely gorgeous.

Everyone's making small talk, but I'm so zoned out that I'm not hearing much of what they are saying.

"Alana?" Quinn asks as she throws her arm around me.

"Yeah?" I ask her.

She smiles, "How about we head inside and get another drink?" She asks me, and I nod.

We stand up and head inside.

We get to the kitchen, and we pour ourselves drinks.

"How are you holding up?" She asks me.

I give her a faint smile and nod.

I clear my throat, "Yeah, I'm fine. You wanna dance?" I ask her.

She gives me a hug and nods, "Yeah, let's go play our song and turn up that music and dance like no one's watching." She says excitedly, and I agree.

"Yeah, let's totally do that. I need to let off some steam." I tell her, and we head over to the living area and change the song to our song.

Quinn turns up the music, and we start to cheer as the song comes on.

We both just start jamming out to the song and singing along.

Dancing without a care in the world.

I need to get my mind off it, and my best friend and I jamming, and dancing to our favorite song is just the thing I need.

Everyone starts to come inside, and Melanie and Jessica join in along with us as another song starts.

We were all just singing and dancing.

I turn to take a sip of my drink and feel eyes on me.

As I look in the direction of the kitchen, I see Elijah staring at me.

I smile and wink at him.

He looks me up and down, gives me a faint smile and winks back, and takes a sip of his drink.

I look at my brother and notice he just saw what I did.

Don't panic.

Don't panic.

Just keep your cool, and everything will be fine.

The only thing I can think of is to smile and wave at him.

I awkwardly turn back around to Quinn and them, and we continue to dance.

I might have fucked up now.

After a while of dancing my drink is finished and I need to go to the bathroom.

I turn to Quinn, "I'll be right back." I tell her.

She frowns, "Where are you going?" She asks me.

"I need the bathroom. You want to join me?" I ask her.
