My mom and I wake up and head to the kitchen after getting ready for brunch.

We enter the kitchen and find a setup for what seems to be breakfast tacos.

Elijah appears from the pantry, his hands filled with ingredients.

"Hey, what's all this stuff for?" I ask him.

"Oh, didn't Simon tell you? We are having brunch here." He tells me and I sigh.

"The whole point was for none of us to cook or do anything. I wanted us all to have the day off." My mom says before I could.

"No, it's okay. I don't mind it. I enjoy it actually." He tells her.

"You know you could've said no if you wanted to, right?" I ask him and he nods.

"Yes, of course. If I don't want to do something I'm not doing it." He tells me.

"Then why would you want to do this?" I ask him.

"Because I'm not in the mood for some fancy bistro. It's Sunday and I just wanted some delicious hearty food at home." He says to me.

"Are you implying that your own food is delicious?" My mom asks him.

"I'm not implying it. That's what I meant." He tells her.

"Well, you're going to have to prove it first, mister." My mom says.

"Okay, no problem." He says with a grin on his face.

"His food is delicious, I can't argue with that." I tell my mom.

"We'll see." My mom answers.

Moments later her phone rings and she picks it up.

"Heya, handsome." My mom says and walks out of the kitchen. It's most likely my dad because she doesn't talk to anyone else that way.

As soon as my mom leaves the room, I walk over to Elijah.

"Hey." I shyly say as I lightly shove him.

"You shy all of a sudden?" He asks as he puts everything down. "It's cute." He adds as he wraps his arm around me.

"I just wanted to ask you something." I tell him.

"And that is?" He asks curiously as he looks at me.

"Since we won't be able to do this for another week or so. I just want you to give me a kiss that will last a week." I tell him feeling somewhat nervous to ask him.

He lets out a chuckle and smiles at me.

"I would love to do that although every time I kiss you it makes me want to kiss you even more." He says as he's caressing my face.

"I feel the exact same way every time you kiss me but for now we'll probably only be able to do it when Simon's not here." I tell him.

"I know we still need to talk about how you want to tell him but we still need to figure out what exactly we are before we can do that." He says sounding nervous.

"I know we do but we'll have to find the right time to talk about that before we tell Simon. We don't have time for that right now. Right now, I just want you to kiss me before everyone gets here because I won't be able to do it with everyone here. Even though it's all I want to do when I look at you. So, for a moment let's forget about everything and everyone else and just kiss me." I say as I'm caressing his face.

"Whatever you want, beautiful." He says and pulls me closer before giving me one unforgettable kiss.

I never wanted it to stop, but the sound of the elevator door opening was our cue to stop, unfortunately.
