David's POV
Spending an excruciating hour with that girl almost had my brains bleeding.
I was currently in the class when my phone rang
Julie?
"Mr Williams can you please mute your phone and keep it in your bag" the teacher asked but more like ordered
"Yes sir"
A text came in from Julie before I put my phone away
Julie
Please come to the family hospital right away. Kiki collapsed.Reading the text alone shut my thinking down.
All I wanted to do was see Kiki.
"Sir please I need to be excused" I didn't wait for his reply and ran out of the class.
I did not bother calling the driver because I know that I wouldn't wait till he comes.
I ran to the gate and tried to leave
"You have to get a school exit before I let you go" the security said
"Please this is a life or death situation. Inform the principal he'll have no problem with it"
"Then will you wait till we inform him?"
"Don't you understand? Look sir, if anything happens to my sister. The blood will be on your hands and I'll get you arrested. Mark my words!"
I was being stupid, I know but Kiki needs me right now.
"Mr Loko, you can let him leave" the principal said walking our way.
"His mother called already" he added.
"Alright sir" the security replied
"David just give me a minute, I already arranged the school's driver to get you to your destination" He soothed
I gave a grateful nod and anxiously awaited for the driver.
The school's driver came in a Honda jeep. I cared less about where it was from, all I craved for was to see Kiki.
The minute we got to the hospital, I alighted without waiting for the driver to park well.
"What room number is Kiki Williams" I inquired from the receptionist
"Room 25, VIP section. It's on last floor" she read out from a computer.
On getting to the last floor, I began searching for Kiki's room number until I found it.
Julie was sprawled out on the floor. She was staring into space with her eyes bloodshot.
Mum had hot tears rolling down her cheeks with Zion comforting her.
Dad was leaning by the wall, arm folded.
"How is she?" I asked no one in particular
"Critical." Zion answered
"It was all my fault. She asked me to take her to the mall since her home teacher was down with a cold. I shouldn't have listened to her" Julie lamented
I went to kneel beside her.
"It's not your fault, you were just fufiling her wish"I consoled.
"Sir" a man dressed in black suit bowed a little for my Dad
