Jason's POV

I sighed as I stared at Temi who was talking with Farayola.

She looked extra beautiful today.
Her hair also seems darker than usual.

But something was off.

Her smile was different.

It looked unreal.

It is barely noticeable but I observe her a lot so I got to notice.

"Hey bro" I looked up at who tapped my shoulder.

"Sup" I replied to Leonard

"Uhm. I want to ask you something really important" he said

"I'm all ears then"

"If you really like a girl and she begins to behave in a way that hurts you. Even when you try understanding her, she keeps pushing you away."

" If you keep your distance from her for a while, are you a bad person?" He asked

"No"

That wasn't my voice.

"You aren't being wicked bro" Chucks said, leaning on the desk.

"If she's dissing you, take some steps away from her and soon she'll come crawling back missing you" he said

"But I'm attached. I'm getting hurt, staying away from her"

"You're whipped bro" Chuks said chuckling

"Who's the girl?" I asked

"Uhm. Just someone, doesn't really matter" he replied.

"Settle down class" Mrs Mary instructed.

"Where is David" Chuks asked

"I don't know. I haven't seen him since assembly was over" I replied.

Leonard and Chuks hurried to their seat because Mrs Mary is not someone to provoke.

Tamilore's POV

See you later Tamilore

It's been so long since he called me Tamilore.

I can vouch he only called me that once since we've met.

This was the second time.

His words were like sharp arrow.

I felt pained.

"Bye baby girl. See you tomorrow" Fiyin waved.

She has decided to give me space since I wouldn't talk. But I loved how she isn't being harsh on her distance.

I snapped my head to the right, checking to see if my driver was anywhere near.

I caught sight of David entering the car angrily and Liam with amusement, entering after him.

Is he really bad news?

Flashback
At the library I picked a literature text.

Liam asked to take a look at it.

"So you're into cliche novels uh?" He asked

"Yes kind of" I replied

"I hate novel or anything relating to fictional stories" he bluntly said

I tried to find words but I couldn't, he was so straightforward.

After 20 seconds of stuttering, I found my voice.

"Why, if I may ask?"

"It's because, it tries to tell you how pretty life looks or how wonderful life can get"
