Happy new year by the way🥳💕
David's POV
It's been days. Kiki has refused to let anyone into her room except the housekeeper, Lara.
The family was breaking. The only thing that has kept me sane is the thought of Tamilore.
"It so sad how you all are joking around. I expect more seriousness from students who are going to write Waec next year." The principal kept on talking.
I tuned out.
Motivation talks here and there
Waec this waec that
It's very simple, if you read you pass.
Our school was very non-tolerant to malpractice.
So if you cheat and get caught, you're on your own.
The noise from students brought me back to reality.
"How far. Wetin she talk?" I asked Ethan
"We'll be having mock exams at the end of every month before Waec starts. The results will be made known to the whole school including our parents. Then those who can maintain top 3 till waec starts will be awarded scholarships" He said.
"People shouldn't even try. It's obvious you're going to be number 1 on that list" I joked.
Lowkey, I was serious. Ethan was madly brilliant.
"Guy stop with the flattering" he said, laughing.
The meeting ended soon and it was break time.
I sat at my table with the rest.
Temilade joined us, leaving us surprised.
She is our friend but she mostly sits alone with Farayola.
Everyone gave her a questioning stare and she just shrugged it off.
I just ate and began looking for a special someone with my eyes.
She was my comfort.
A hand wrapped around my eyes from behind.
The scent was familiar.
"Guess who?" She said.
"Tami" I said.
She removed her hand and placed a peck on my temples.
All eyes were on us.
Not just those on the table but the whole cafeteria.
I just realized that Tamilore had displayed affection to me in public.
She wasn't shy neither did she care.
Tamilore's POV
"Are you going to sit with your boyfriend today" Folarin asked, immediately we stepped into the cafeteria.
"No. Why should I?" I responded nonchalant
"Why wouldn't you? He's your boyfriend" Adesua said. Emphasizing on 'boyfriend'
I shrugged and went to buy my food.
"Tamilore is such a chicken" Fiyin said immediately we sat down.
I gave her a confused gaze.
