Leonard's POV
I walked lazily to class when Farayola came to me.
"Guy have you heard the news?"
"What news?" I asked, my interest at zero percent.
"Miss Raymond was admitted to the hospital"
Now that got my attention
"What? When?" I asked
"Yesterday. Mhen the news have been flying round. How could you not know. Isn't she like your private tutor?" she asked
"I had no idea about this" I became restless
"Do you know what hospital" I asked
"I actually don't but you should be able to get that information from the school's secretary sha" she said
"Alright thanks" I ran off.
^^^^^
"Ma please" I begged the secretary
"But Leonard What do you need it for"
"She's my private tutor and I need to check up on her"
"You know what? Come back when school is over. After all if I tell you, you won't go to meet her now" she said typing away on the computer.
Pushing furthermore on the issue would attract the principal and raise suspicions.
I had to give up.
What's a few more hours till school ends?
Ethan's POV
I walked into the school's pool area.
I met a certain figure sitting at the edge of the pool with her legs dipped in water. Her shoes and socks laid beside her.
She was deep in thoughts.
I pulled out my socks and shoes and sat beside her.
"Hi" I greeted
Adesua stared at me with a look I couldn't decipher.
"I was hoping to get a response from you" I said.
"Why? Did you ever reply my text. You've basically ignored me for weeks now" she replied calmly.
Something Mitchell wouldn't do.
"I'm sorry. I've been working" I apologized
She raised an eyebrow.
Cute
"What?" I asked
"Nothing. I can't believe I felt entitled to your attention. We aren't even friends"
"You're right. Let's fix that" I said and she chuckled.
"You lent me a shoulder to cry on without even knowing me. You also did not prey into my business. I'm grateful for that. Will you be my friend?" I asked
"Who am I to decline almighty Ethan" she replied.
I let out a short laugh.
That statement: almighty Ethan
It made me nostalgic.
I remembered when the guys and I had this bad boy title, more like a phase.
We would instill fear in the junior ones
