chapter thirteen

Riley's POV

I tiptoed my way into Luke's room, I couldn't sleep I never could I thought maybe sleeping with him would help. I opened the door slowly trying not to wake him up and laid down in bed pulling the covers over us both.

" Riley? Is everything okay?" he asked half asleep

" Yeah, just couldn't sleep" he smiled at me and pulled me into his chest until everything went dark.

Luke's POV

I woke up the next morning still holding Riley, it surprised me when she came into my room last night. She was finally beginning to trust us and it made me so happy, I want her to be comfortable and feel safe with us to just be a family. I kissed the top of her head as she started waking up.

" Morning" she mumbled

" Good morning" I smiled back

" No chest pain or anything right?" I asked her

" No, You worry too much" she laughed

" Part of my job"

my door opened reveling Micheal

" Hey, have you seen-" he stopped seeing Riley next to me

" found her" he called over his shoulder

" good morning" she mumbled

" Morning, Ash made pancakes" he smiled

she groaned but slowly made her way out of bed and with Micheal to the kitchen as I followed behind.

Ash brought her into a side hug at the stove as he flipped a few pancakes. Calum was stationed by the Keurig as always making him hand me a mug.

" Why don't we do something fun today?" I suggested,

" like what?" Riles asked

" Why don't we go to six flags!" Calum said grabbing Riley into his arms making her laugh

" Six flags it is!"

After breakfast, we all got ready and made our way into the car I drove, Ash sat in the passenger seat and the rest got into the back.

" I have a question" her voice echoing from the backseat

" What exactly is six flags?" she laughed

Micheal put his hand over his mouth and sighed

" you don't know what six flags is?!"

" Is an amusement park, rollercoasters, rides, games that type of stuff," I explained

She nodded and smiled lightly facing her eyes outside the window as we entered.

Riley's POV

This place was so cool. I had been to the local carnival they did in the local park but it was nothing compared to this.

The guys were currently trying to get me to ride the scariest and highest rollercoaster in the park, and I have never even been on any before.

" Come on! You'll love it!" Ash said putting his arm around my shoulder

" it's in your blood to be a roller coaster lover!" luke joked dragging my arm with him

I sighed and gave in to their pleas.

We had to wait in line for a while which was honestly the worse part because having to watch it go a hundred times before going on it only made me psych myself out even more.

It was finally our turn and right before I went to sit in a seat near the middle of the section Luke grabbed my hand and pulled us all the way to the front. I groaned but followed him

" You have to get the full experience" he smiled

Micheal and Calum sat behind us and Ash had his own seat behind them.

After what felt like forever the rollercoaster moved along the track picking up speed making me grab luke's hand and the bar quickly, it dropped quickly as screams were heard from other riders.

Eventually, we reached back to the end of the track and excited the ride

" so? what did you think?" Micheal asked

" It was so awesome!" I laughed out earning cheers from the boys as they headed to the next one. After a few more hours of rollercoasters, we decided it was time to head back to the car.

Luke offered a picky back ride back to the car which I gratefully excepted and jumped onto his back. I laughed the whole way back as he raced Calum who was attempting to carrying Ashton but very clearly failing.

" Dude, you've got to lay off the midnight ice cream" he groaned

" Rude. Me and my ice cream are completely fine!"

We made our way into the car as I sat in the passenger seat with Luke next to me, watching the window as I slowly fell asleep.
