He ran for his life. Dally could hear the sirens getting louder and louder. Soon, they cut him off at the park. Dallas phoned Darry back by the store and he could see them running down the street. Dallas pulled out his gun and pointed it at the fuzz. There's no point in living anymore. Johnny's gone. He's gone for good. No coming back. But then something dawned on him. Why am I doing this? Am I really a coward? But it was too late. The cops fired at him and he rolled down the hill.
"Pony..." Dally managed to spit out, and then he died.

Dally woke up in a world that is not today. There seemed to be a film playing in front of him. When he looked more closely, he saw himself laying dead in the street with the gang around him.
"You stupid fuzz!" Dally heard Darry scream.
What am I doing here?
If finally made sense to Dally. He was dead. He remembers being shot by the fuzz. What a stupid mistake. Why did I do that? Dallas was really mad at himself for doing that. He realized that he is putting the gang through the same pain he went through when Johnny died. But why am I seeing them still? It was only till then when Dally finally got it. He was watching over the gang. To make sure they are safe. He was almost like there protector. It seemed crazy at first but Dallas grew to like it. He watched them as the gang went to his own funeral. Everyone cried except for Mark. Dally didn't understand why he even came.

Dallas looked over to see Johnny sitting next to him.
"Johnny!" He screamed with happiness.

Johnny looked over him and just stared. Finally he said something.
"Wake up Dally. Wake up."
"What do you mean?" Dally asked.

Johnny didn't answer his question. Just kept repeating the same thing.
"Wake up Dally. Wake up."

Everything seemed to fade and Dallas woke up to the whole gang looking at him.
"What? Wait, why am I hear?" Dallas asked with a confused look on his face.
"You hit your head pretty bad at the drive in when you fell off your chair. We took you home early." Johnny said.
"Johnny! You're alive!" Dallas screamed with happiness.

The whole gang was very confused but just let it go.

"Hey," Dally finally said after a long silence. "Does anyone want to go hunt some action?"
