"Follow me and don't fall behind. I'm not afraid to leave your ass."
I quickly shuffled my feet forward as I followed Kyra into the dull hallways. As we went farther and farther from our room everything became a lot more unfamiliar which isn't surprising considering almost everything here is unfamiliar.
After we passed a certain bigger door we were welcomed with bright white hallways rather than the typical dull ones. The wails and laughs were now replaced by men rather than the cackling and crying of women. Every now and then I would find myself flinching or blinking from the sudden noise, yet Kyra continued on as if it was nothing.
It was odd to be taking orders from her to be honest. We weren't exactly friends, yet she wasn't trying to kill me either so I'd say we're neutral. As long as we don't speak to each other often or make the other mad then the day goes by smoothly. I wasn't exactly sure how long it had been since we had to be roomates but I'm going to assume it was Tuesday because we were visiting the groupie that I had met a few days ago.
Once we got to a particular door, she stopped and knocked three times softly then waited. Within seconds the door opened showing the beaming face of Jake as he excitedly ushered us in.

"Lovely to have you Kyra as always and oh my it seems you even brought Destiny with you!" He hopped on his tiptoes excitedly while clapping short quick quiet claps.

"Where's everyone else?" Asked Kyra as she sat on the bed that she and Ryan has been sitting on the first time I had met them.

"Ryan should be here any second, Turner left a few minutes to go to the bathroom and Minnie hasn't made it yet."
I made my way over to a single chair once Jake made a comment about me making myself more comfortable.

"So, Destiny how have you been..." He asked with a happy tone. I couldn't help but feel more relaxed as he spoke with his friendly voice.

"I've been alright just still trying to get used to everything." My voice was quieter than I wanted it be and I mentally cursed at myself for not sounding as confident as I wanted.

"Yeah, I know it can be tough. It took a full year for me to accept everything and everyone around me. Now I just try to be optimistic about it!"

"That's from the anti-depressents." Muttered Kyra while rolling her eyes. Jake scoffed with fake hurt in his eyes as he purposely made himself look upset.

"Well don't tell the whole world I'm soooooo perfect, at least I try and make people feel welcomed." She blew a short breath of air through her nose before her attention was drawn to the soft knocks in the door. We all glanced that way before Jake went and opened it to see Ryan and Turner standing there waiting. Once they entered the room Ryan immediately made his way over to Kyra and hugged her tightly before kissing her softly on the lips. They started chattering about random things to which I had the decency to tune out of.

"What was your life like before all of this happened?" The unexpected question caught me off guard as Jake took a bite of a banana that Turner had probably snuck at one point.

"I was like any normal teenage girl really. Just liked to have fun and go out and do whatever. I guess you could say I got into trouble often."

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

I couldn't help but chuckle at my sudden lack of romance.

"No, never have and don't plan on it for a while. It's not like I can anyways being in here..."

"That's not true how do you think I met Minnie?"

"It is a lot harder finding someone here who isn't crazy or dangerous. It just takes a lot of understanding and patience to find that person."
Before I could respond several quick knocks were heard on the door which confused the rest of us. All chatter stopped as Jake opened the door to an impatient Minnie who pushed the door open and almost slammed it shut if it wasn't for Jake preventing it.
