It's a few hours before anything happens, my bladder is full and my stomach constantly keeps growling. I want nothing more than to be home, but of course that's not going to happen.
I think back to earlier, how those nurses Nicholas and Maddie conversed with me.Would something actually happened to me? Am I in danger?!
Question after question keeps popping up in my mind.
I hear the big metal door open as a man with slightly graying hair walks in. He has a lab coat on and has two nurses with him.
One was the nurse Maddie from earlier. The other was an African American woman who honestly looks like if you yelled at her she would cry. She looked tense and awkward at the end of the three.
In her hands she was carrying a tray of what appeared to be food.Excitement flooded into my stomach but my mind said different.
I don't wanna eat until I have some answers.
The man with the dark graying hair spoke up.
"I'm Dr. Dean and these are two of my nurses that are going to be assisting you th-"
"WHY AM I HERE." I demanded. Trying my hardest to make sure my voice didn't quiver or crack.
There's nothing more than to figure out what is going on. I'm literally strapped down for Pete's sake, who wouldn't want answers? The doctor laughed lightly them cleared his throat.
"Ma'am you may not remember much but you were checked in here not too long ago."
I furrowed my brows with the upmost feeling of confusion. Nothing was making sense. Why would I be checked into a place like this? Where the hell am I?
"Please, can you please let me out." I pleaded. Being strapped down with an empty stomach and the urge to use the bathroom really don't mix. I swollowed, my dry mouth sticking together in hopes of having a sip of the drink on the tray.
"Hmmm. I think you've been in here long enough. Maddie?" He asked and the nurse came forward and started removing my leather straps.
My body instantly relaxed as I moved my arms and hugged them to my chest. Once they were all off I instantly sat up.
As if on cue the other nurse came forward and sat the tray down on the small table next the bed.
It wasn't much. Just a simple bologna sandwich with a few crackers and some water.
I instantly took the cup of water and eagerly placed it to my lips. I greedily chugged it down and didn't hesitate taking a bite of a few crackers afterwards. As I nibbled on the food questions still stirred into my mind. Why on earth would I be checked into a place like this?
"Who put me in here." It wasn't a question. I demanded an answer.
"That information is classified ma'am. All we can tell you is that you were checked into here for reasonable purposes." He spoke calmly, his voice echoing throughout the room. Talking to him is like talking to a brick wall, it doesn't get anywhere.
I sighed, frustration growing throughout my body. Then it clicked, my phone. I brought my phone with me when I went to Sam's.
"My phone."
Dr. Dean furrowed his brows confused."Pardon m-"
"I had my phone on me last time I was conscious. Where is it?" I asked desperately hoping he would give me the answer I wanted.
The doctor looked at the nurse named Maddie and sighed. Already I could feel disappointment settling in my navel.
"W-well patients here aren't allowed to have anything they came in with on them. We place them in a very secure storing area ensuring that you have it when you are allowed or when you are ready to leave depending on the reasons and the severity of your mental hea-"
