Four Years Ago..
"Good hustle boys! Keep it up.." Bucky said as he stood on the sidelines of the football field he once played on.
Beside him was Steve Sam Clint Scott Pietro and Thornton. They were the coaching staff of the football team that they once played for many years ago.
It was a hot June afternoon in Chapel Hill NC. As practice wore for another hour Bucky's cellphone buzzed in his pocket. He saw the number on his phone he recognized the number as the local hospital because his mom use to be a nurse there.
"Steve take over while I take this." He said as he answered and walked away.
"Is this James Barnes Jr?" The voice on the other end.
"Yes it is." He said as he went into the athletic weight room.
"This is Lilly a nurse at UNC Hospital, we have your wife and son here. They were in a car accident. I can't tell you much more over the phone." Lilly said
"Thank you. I'll be right there." He said as he hung up.
He began to panic as he made his way back to his friends.
"Hey guys I have to go that was the hospital. Telina and TJ were in an accident." Bucky said as he pulled out his keys.
"Okay..keep us updated." Sam said
Bucky ran to his car and took off. He called his parents on the way there and her parents. They all met him there.
"Son, what happened? Have they said anything to you?" James said
"Telina is in surgery..and TJ hasn't woken up since he's been here. She lost the baby.." he said as he wiped tears.
TJ was his eight year old son he and Telina had been married ten years.
"Mr Barnes..we are so sorry. We did everything we could she lost to much blood. We tried to get her back but she kept crashing." The doctor said
Bucky sat back down in his chair that was by TJ's bed and broke.
"You stay here James we will talk to the doctor and officers." Telina's father said
After three days of no change with his son. Bucky along with family made the difficult decision to let him go in peace. They turned off the machines and said their goodbyes.
Bucky buried his two sons and his wife. Telina was 32 weeks pregnant with their second son.
