The Football Mom

(14) 4th of July Weekend

Three months later 

"So how's things with Camilla?" Bucky said as he and Lucas was out on the lake behind his house as they were fishing in his boat. 

"Good.." he said 

"You know if you need help buying condoms you can ask me. I know your mom isn't exactly keen on teen sex.." Bucky said 

"I haven't yet. Camilla wants to though she told me she's ready." Lucas said as he casted out his line. 

"What happened with your mom Luke..won't happen with you. Yes condoms can break but that's where birth control comes into play. I've talked with your mom she told that she was barely 15..and wasn't on birth control. If she had been you probably wouldn't be here right now. My dad always told me birth control was back up preventative measures." Bucky said 

Lucas began to tell Bucky how his sex talk went with Ansleigh and Bucky filled in the blanks she couldn't handle. After they went fishing Bucky took Lucas to buy his first box of condoms. They hid them under his bed at Ansleigh's house before heading back to Bucky's. 

That night Bucky had Lucas by his side as he grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs for them. Ansleigh made a cake and potato salad. They set off fire works at the end of the dock behind his house. 

After Lucas passed out inside Bucky and Ansleigh laid out in the hammock under a blanket. 

"By the way, I filled in the blanks today baby. He told me how his sex talk went with you. And I filled in the parts you couldn't handle." He said 

She looked up at him. "Thank you..is he thinking about having sex?" She said 

"Yeah baby..and I know you are scared for him. But Camilla has been on birth control for three months now..and I bought him condoms today. Annie baby you know that you can't keep him in a bubble forever." He said as he played with her hair as she laid on his chest. 

"I know that..I just..I don't want him to repeat my mistakes." She said 

"He won't baby. He's watched you grow up right along side of him. He knows what you went through darlin." He said 

"I hope so." She said as they swayed from the cool summer breeze.
