1 year later
"Hey babe we are home!" Bucky yelled as he and Lucas came in the door.
"Hey.." she said as she carried out a basket of laundry.
"You are looking at our new varsity captain!" Bucky said as he squeezed his shoulders.
"Aww that's awesome!" She said
"Cami made cheer captain she'll be by later. She had captain things to do." He said as he left to go to his room.
"You got something on your face.." Bucky said as he kissed her.
"Mmm.." she said as he kissed her all over.
"There it's gone now." He said as he kissed her lips.
He backed her against the couch making her drop her laundry basket as they made out.
"He's going to EJ's..let's go upstairs." He said in her ear.
She smiled at him and left with him.

Three weeks later.
The new football season had started they were on their fourth game of the season. They were up by 5 points.
"And Matthews is down." The announcer said
Lucas had taken a hard tackle as he snapped the ball. Ansleigh stood up as Cami ran to the side lines. Bucky turned around to see her before running on the field.
"Back up.." he said
"Luke..hey Luke..can you hear me?" He said as the trainer took off his helmet.
The trainer motioned for the EMTs to come over. Ansleigh ran to the sidelines as Bucky ran over to her.
"Steve is going to take over me..let's go. Cami you can ride with us." He said as they left in his truck.
When they got there the nurse led them to his room. The doctor ordered a bunch of tests as he was waking up but falling back asleep.
While they ran tests Bucky took Ansleigh for a walk to calm her nerves.
"You have to breathe Annie. Do you know how many concussions I've had and look at me. It comes with football." He said
She looked down. "I know it's scary, but he's going to be fine. A few bruised ribs and a concussion is probably all it is." He said
Her phone buzzed. "Cami said the doctor is back." She said as she read her text.
They went back into the hospital, "Doctor Walsh." Ansleigh said
"Ms Matthews..your son is going to be fine . A mild concussion and bruised ribs. Nothing appears to be broken." Dr Walsh said
"Thank you." She said as he left.
"See told you." Bucky said as he kissed her forehead.
He texted the coaching staff to let them know the diagnosis.
